Subject: Does Bungie nameplate = Blue Flames?

"The heights by great men reached and kept were not attained by sudden flight, but they while their companions slept, were toiling upward in the night."

What happens if you deleted the app?

"Unlocking Flames" actually unlocks two things - the "Bungie Nameplate" and the "Eternal" armor effect. Eternal is the actual blue flames, you'll find it the next time you start up Halo: Reach in the Armory. The Bungie Nameplate will also be available to you, but you don't have to use the Bungie Nameplate to use the Eternal armor effect.

You should make the app available for the Android market 8D

And on the seven7h day......

The H3 flames would be cool too, but if we don't get them, im fine.

Question?

Do we get to keep the nameplate and the Eternal armor affect, permanently?

Urky says the blue flames are for keeps, through lack of confirmation, Bungie nameplate appears to be temporary.

I WISH TO UNLOCK ONE THING ONLY.

The Haunted Helmet.

You must inherit it! (though one could surmise that haunted helmets will appear for those with bungie nameplates unlocked, so I guess we might get a taste of skullness?)

He said Blue Flames are Eternal... that might not mean we get to keep them as the name of the Blue Flames in the armor effects section is "Eternal"

EDIT: Nvm read the faq about the app, blue flames are for keeps!

What is we can't get the software for the app? Is there another way to get the effect?

"I have no words that would do justice to the atrocities you commit to the English language, as well as your continued assaults on the concepts of basic literacy and logical reasoning."

There is a FAQ about it at the top of the forum... but yes, consider the mobile app the "early entry" for Blue Flames.

Oh, and yes, you get to keep the flames and the bungie nameplate, they don't get disabled after Bungie Day.

I may get shot down for asking but what about Halo 3's Bungie Armor. Will that ever be available again for keeps like in Reach.

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

What about Halo 3? You guys should turn on the switch for us so that we can have the red flames on Halo 3 too.

Sadly, I don't think that's gonna happen. :(

It only happened on July 7th of last year, but it did not last forever.

How is the star nameplate unlocked?
Either participate in BTB all stars, or download the bungie mobile app

Not sure if it was answered or not, but the Halo 3 flames wont be unlocked (according to Urk). The reasoning is if they unlocked it for one, they would have to unlock it permanently for everyone and you couldn't switch out of it.

Yes, but play nice. Bungie can take this away.
