"I'm afraid of the man I'll become if I lay my life down for the people I don't even care for"

Uh, kinda hints at a Halo 2 remake. And apparently the Halo 4 engine started life as Reach code. So it's not 100% new :(

Doesn't matter that the engine is not 100% new.

The 360 is running on its last legs anyways, so for a shooter to pump significantly more power out of it is irrelevant to be honest. H4 will most likely be the same difference as between H3 and Reach. With the next game on the next Xbox being a significant graphical improvement.

Besides: Halo doesn't need any Crysis-amazing graphics to be honest. As long as the gameplay is intact and playing well, the game will be good.

And a Halo 2 remake: YES PWEEEZ!!!!!
That would get me even more excited than the HCEA.

The artcile was pretty interesting but what really made it was the hilarious comment chain, that was just brilliant.

Well, the news that the Halo 4 technology incorporates the Halo: Reach codebase isn't too surprising. Each Halo title, on a technical level, has always built on what has been present previously - Bungie have never built an entire engine from scratch, and I doubt 343 Industries will choose not to do the same.

I'd expect there to be a substantial technical leap for the franchise, with something comparable to the difference between Halo 3 and Halo: Reach.

So you went to the trouble of clicking on my profile, either to send a group invite or hate message, or to check my Halo stats and call me a BK. I like Peanut Butter Waffles.

Halo 3 ran on the same base that Halo 2 did, and you can see the change there. Obviously, they're two different consoles, but I'm expecting H4 to look easily like a 2012 game, maybe better.
