Not how canon works my friend, please try again. But I guess me, ajw, privet caboose, and practically everyone else must be stupid then.AJW is the only intelligent person that you mentioned in that list that I know of. Haven't seen enough of Privet Caboose to remember him.
Speculation or citations related to the "canon" of Legends are counterproductive in discussions related to Halo lore simply because they're usually (read: always) wrong due to it either being:
-"Artistic license"
-Irrelevant
-Cortana's rampancy skewing history
-Cortana's lack of knowledge on the Forerunners
-The animation studios' lack of any knowledge whatsoever
Citing Legends as a source of canon never leads anywhere and that alone means it shouldn't be canon.
Haven't seen enough of caboose? I would've thought you'd seen his errors thread about Reach, it's on the Top Forum topics.
-"Artistic license" (Some things do not affect the story, ie Halsey's appearance. It honestly doesn't.)
-Irrelevant (Okay...)
-Cortana's rampancy skewing history (Considering she wasn't around to completely witness the Covenant Schism and only really comes back to functionality at the very end of Halo 3, this can be given some give or take.)
-Cortana's lack of knowledge on the Forerunners (What lack of knowledge? When Legends released, we had very little knowledge of the Foreurnners. Besides, can't spill everything, that's why we have Crytpum.)
-The animation studios' lack of any knowledge whatsoever (They seemed pretty competent to me. The armor was off on The Package and Homecoming, but again, that's just artistic licensing. It just doesn't affect the overall story at all.)
In the end though, you can't have the attitude that people who accept Halo Legends as canon are stupid. That will not get you far here.
