So, at the end of the H4 trailer we see MC floating towards a large planet that appears to be Forerunner made. I believe that this planet is the Dyson Sphere from the Ghosts of Onyx. If this is true, we can expect the story to be centered around either MC finding the Spartans inside, a team-up with the Spartans to find a way out, or something completely unpredictable that will make your mind explode from the story line. I know that there is a lot of guessing in this, but that's my idea...

I also think that it's what they used to call "Onix".

Seriously Oak, Ive been doing this -blam!- for 16 years, gimmie my Friggen starter Pokemon and dont call me till im the champion! ¬_¬

I can expand on this idea

Firstly, characters in this dyson sphere would be unrelatable to the players who are only familier with the games, so i reackon a few steps may be taken:

a) Kelly was technically on the POA in the book "The Flood", so she may need to be introduced (Halo: Anniversery)
b) another character last seen with halsey may also need to be implemented, so something needs to happen to lead Jun onto said sphere, lets face it, game canon often clashes with book canon

Now, Enemies? Being a FPS where the flood is dead and the covenant is disbanded there needs to be a new enemy, so my theory is the forerunners are Alive in this shield world, surviving and living in solace for years after the flood

According to cryptum, forerunners Loathed human technological advancement, and if these theories are applied, there would be roughly a dozen human technologically-advanced living-weapons

Thoughts?

Retreating is not cowardly, it's just fighting in a different direction

It makes me question what enemies we will be fighting, I mean if the forefunners left us tall this technology why would we end up fighting them? Who knows what's going to happen. I guess we are going to wait and see

It's been said it's a bunch of brand new enemies. There's no way to know what we will be fighting.

-Seriously, who uses a signature?

brutes are still fighting after halo 3. (Origins: The Return)

only 2 rings had their cache of flood released, 5 to go.

Maybe a race of enemy we have not fought yet, they could be entirely different from the covenant, the flood, and the forerunners

There WAS still the Prisoner, we dont know what happened to him, but to be fair, they abandoned the universe after the Forerunners wiped most of them out

Either way, i still stick to my Theory of the Forerunners, they wiped out humanity out of spite once for, and lets face it, they seem arogant enough to kill the species to clean up the mess they couldnt

Though the flood? Totally a viable idea, but im kinda hoping not, i was never that big a fan of the flood, but a re-hashed enemy seems viable for an instiution like 343

So many possibilities, and id put money on hundreds to come :P

Walk softly, and carry a big midget.

Onyx is only a few metres wide by the end of Ghosts of Onyx, unless something big has happened since the book I doubt it would have changed since we last heard of it.

Also, If it was Onyx, unless people bought the book they'd have no idea what's going on if Master Chief suddenly found a bunch of Spartan IIs/IIIs, Dr Halsey and Mendez. You didn't need to buy any of the books for the main Halo games (Halo CE,2,3). It would confuse people too much, so they need to keep them apart.

I've thought about this, and there's 2 features im considering

1) the conclusion of Jun's Whereabouts - whilst it canicolly makes No sense for him to be there, it can be twisted by 343 that jun would have escorted her every step of the way

2) Kelly, if im not mistaken, is the SII floating around in the Cryopod during "Halo - The Flood", this could be one of the new aspects introduced to the player in the Remake of Halo: Anniversery. By remodelling the game like that, we could get a better understanding for the non-book reading fans to build up to this game.

Makes Sense, No? I'm probobly gonna hold onto this idea until someone points out a major flaw that i can't see any way around or if Kelly isn't in Halo: Anniversry
