When Tartarus learns of the truth from Guilty Spark, Thel tells him that the Prophets had lied to them.
If Tartarus had fully realized this, do you think that Thel' would have "forgiven" him? At one point Thel' was under the impression that everything the Prophets said was true.

Bungie Pentathlon - who actually cares ?

No, they slaughtered each other. It's not in the Brutes' genes to shake hands.

More pointless question threads aye ?

[*Please note that anything in my posts is likely to be filled with sarcasm, and should be taken with a pinch of salt. I tend to help people, usually*]

If Tartarsauce did believe the Orbiter then he would have convinced the other Brutes that Troof was lying.

Truth would be silenced.

Delta Halo would never be activated (or deactivated).

The Halo Array would never be put into standby.

The Ark would never be known about.

The Human-Forerunner War would end.

The Chief would return to Innie-hunting.

Dr. Halsey and her Spartan friends would never be found in their Shield World (in what I believe will be Halo 4's plot).

The Covenant would turn their attention primarily to eradicating the Flood instead of humanity.

The Flood would eventually be destroyed.

Man...if only Tart had listened.

Tartarus would never have understood and realised.

1. He believed in the Great Journey.

2. The Arbiter is an Elite. The Brutes had massive competition with the Elites when they were both part of the Covenant as an ally to each other. Doing Truth's demand and activating Delta Halo is going to make the Brutes seem more loyal than the Elites ever were.

3. The Brutes HATE Elites. The Brutes and Elites are still at war with each other after the event of Halo 3.

My name is Legion, for we are many.

- The Elites and Brutes hate each other. The Brutes think the Elites are arrogant and don't fully deserve their dominating position in the Covenant (and I think that's justifiable), while the Elites think the Brutes are too dumb, violent, and animalistic to be on top (and that's also justifiable).

- After the Brutes ousted the Elites from power, I don't think Tartarus is going to give all that up just because the Arbiter's telling him that the Prophets lied.

- Tartarus as an individual is very religious and he believed in the Great Journey until the second he died.

- Thel is an Elite and he'd still be suspicious even if Tartarus did decide to join forces with him.

The flood would NOT be eventually destroyed. Infact, there's a good chance the flood would have overrun the universe like they did with the forerunners.

Although Elites and Brutes hate eachother, it seemed Thel wanted Tartarus and his Brutes to relieaze what it was all about. It the circumstances were different the Brutes at High Charity might of killed the Prophets when word got around then left. The Elites would then proably want to kill all the Brutes for what they did after that was settled.

Read Halo: Cryptum. However, I'll tell you the summary. Many thousands of years ago, long before the Forunner-Flood war, Humans were just as advanced as Forunners, but decided to have a war with them, which they lost, partly because they were also fighting the Flood (which later came back to fight the Forerunners). Humans beat the Flood, but they lost to the Forerunners. The Forerunners de-evolved them, and then the Flood came back, and I think everyone should know the rest.

I think he meant what relevancy does a war 110,000 years ago have to Tartarus?

Elites are of honour; Brutes are of barbarism.

The chances of Tartarus being forgiven by Thel are as slim as, well...

...They're slim.

I believe that if Tartarus had realized the truth, the war would have still gone on. Thug of course the Loyalists would be comprised of Grunts, Jackals and Drones. The pod of course would still be a major enemy

Thel himself was ordered by the prophets to kill the messengers of truth. If he can forgive himself for that, he would also have forgiven tartarus.-

Edit: oo, blue bar!
