i am all for new graphics how ever do we really need the burtal beatdowns? i Think NOT!.... some of the maps looked ok from the trailer in E3- however some took a dump. 343 should keep making kids games and learn not to touch a good game, if you can bring back leading your shots, and falling damnage and nade placement on certan maps.. not to mention everyone was host Nade jumps where part of the Game. i really hope to see an ok remake. if this is a bad project 343 will be looked over as a game studio like treyarch. ....

i know i was all over in my thoughts but i dont have enough time to write a 20 page rebuttal on why if the nostalgia is'nt there my money will go to other things.

1. I agree that the brutal beatdowns don't work that well in multiplayer. They're better suited for badasses who deserve it (i.e. Ultra Elites).
3. Hopefully 343 will redeem themselves with Halo 4.
4. Halo PC's multiplayer was a blast but the inclusion of the Banshee ultimately destroyed it (or at least, the Halo PC demo). As for Xbox's multiplayer, it's good.
5. Unfortunately, CEA is not a remake. Just a reimagination with new features and added terminals.

pst... Ill let you in on a little secret. If you tap (B) rather then holding it you won't go into that awesome animation.

Removing such a cool new feature like assassination animations and Armor Ability's would be bad move.

How would you like it if they took forge completely out of Halo 4?... That's what I thought.

Custom Options is what makes Halo as awesome as it is. They should keep all the current options (maybe make some small changes) and add more cool stuff for us to mess around with.

"But Armor Lock gets my panties in a bunch" you say? Well that could be solved with play lists that exclude all the cool new features. That way all the people afraid of change can feel safe and secure in they're very own playlist.

@Sliding Ghost Uh, basically, it is a remake. If it was a game in the past and now has better graphics and new stuff, then it is a remake.

Noobs get T-bagged

@RogueWolfI77V Im sure agree with me as well as every other halo player, we all have gotten angry at the armor abilities. Armor lock is so stupid and it should be removed. Sprint and the elite dodge is alright. Thats just an example. Armor abilities were a great idea but some of them are over powered and shouldnt be there.

I'm fat, bro. You jelly?

Nobody is gonna like the game because everyone wants it to be exactly like the way it was.The majority will, but the tinier stuff won't be. If you want CE, go play CE. I, however, want something new.

Actually I don't mind when people use Armor Lock. It's a good strategy in team matches. However once I know they're using AL I make sure to keep my distance.

Vengeance only leads to an ongoing cycle of hatred.

Where's the "No Armor Abilities" option?

What a dumbass post. Yeah, anyone who sees Reach and all it's K00L NEW FEETYURZ for the steaming pile of dog vomit that it is, is just closed-minded and afraid of change.

Assassinations are garbage. They're completely unnecessary and do nothing for you. AA's are a travesty and among the worst, most indefensible 'cool new features' to be introduced into any game franchise, ever.

God these clowns piss me off.

Assassinations are garbage.
They're not garbage in Campaign.

They're the only reason why I waste my time playing Halo: Reach's Demo trying to assassinate high ranking Elites in various ways, including momentum boosts, If they came to hear me beg scenarios, just running up to them using Sprint and assassinating them.

If there were a menu option for turning off assassinations in Reach, I'd use it. Maybe it's the quality of the Xbox controller but I find it occurring when I really, really don't want it to.

The assassination animations are cool, but they don't help when you're under fire. There should be some script that makes it not happen when you are in a big battle.

Live Long and Consume Banana Oil, ya' Spoony Bards!

Do Not Want:

Flood With Rocket Launchers.

Unuseable Fuel Rod Guns.
Unuseable Energy Swords.
Marines running me over with the Ghost on the fifth level!

I want to be able to use the Energy Sword and Fuel Rod Gun, especially since the Fuel Rod Gun could be used in the PC port's multiplayer.

Also, Zephyrs Slience, why do you say that 343 makes "kid's games?"

I agree... Once I saw 3rd person animations during the reach beta I knew they would do nothing but ruin halo. I can't even comprehend how many times i pulled off a fantastic throw, landing a gernade under someone's feet or stuck on their face, only for them to armor lock out of any damage. For a short while, I though the other armor abilities were good additions to the game. In past halos, you have to pick up invisibility, and/or a radar jammer. However, have no fear all you noobs out there, reach offers you both radar jammer and invisibility in one package at the start of every match! Then their is evade, now this is a real winner... you are about to kill someone, you out DMR'd them and you've got your cross-hair on their head. But wait!.. They clicked a button twice and are now halfway across the map out of your sight, shucks. Eventually sprint even came to aggravate me. I wanna play halo, not COD. Jetpack is a good idea, but should have been left for the campaign only... along with 3rd person assassinations.
And before i get bashed, yes I'm aware of the classic playlist. It's all i play. It makes bungie look pathetic. They release a new game, and a gametype with old maps and player traits remade/edited by the community is more entertaining then the new features that make the game what it is. Frankly, I'm sick of the classic playlist, it is an alright attempt at recreating the halo 2 feel, and you play the same maps over and over. The assault rifle is well over powered in it and some matches become a spray-and-pray. Hopefully the combat evolved remake (and halo 4) is not ruined with a new physics engine, altered controls, and garbage armor abilities.
