Who's to say that 343i won't simple retcon it and say that the slipspace bubble was linked to a Shield World outside of the Galaxy?

AND ON ANOTHER NOTE, what the hell is webcam MVP?

Punch The Keyes For God Sake!

I hope the opening in the legendary planet is a slipspace rift to the Micro Dyson Sphere.

OK for starters the "crust" of onyx was destroyed not the whole planet. The sentinels where underneath the crust they didn't make up the whole planets mantle. Second "slipspace" is a second demention if you will so they can still be "inside" onyx they're just in slipspace not in a different planet. And the sentinels destroyed the crust NOT the nukes. Also rember jerico VII that was a forerunner planet so yeah. And from what I've herd thats a spartan pod at the end of reach and the date is 2599 so think about it guys.

How? It looked the other way around to me. The crust was stripped away to reveal the sentinel layers beneath.

There are no Onyx sentinels left in existence according to the Encyclopaedia. The massive shockwave from the planet exploding that you see at the end of GoO probably destroyed the whole lot. The whole planet is gone along with all the sentinels. The nukes probably started a chain reaction of exploding sentinels within the planet or something.

Also rember jerico IV that was a forrunner planet so yeah. And from what I've herd thats a spartan pod at the end of reach and the date is 2599 so think about it guys.

Yeah in the epilouge it discribes the crust being destroyed to reveal sentinels not the whole planet the nukes just desroyed the covies around the portal.Jerico VII is mentioned in the first book the fall of reach. Game Informer had posted something about a spartan pod at the end of reach so I'm just going by what I herd.

The person who said participating is important, not winning, obviously never won anything.

I dont understand what we are supposed to say here, you pretty much ended any discussion before it could have started.

It's also not practical for John to be at Onyx from a game-making perspective. You can't have that many characters. And, who would the enemy be inside this (presumably) uninhabited shield world? It makes no sense no matter how you look at it.

The sphere is a great way at pushing more characters. MC can re-unite with the spartans and halsey, of whom are stuck in the sphere.

Great for a book but not for a game campaign. You couldn't have that many characters in a campaign and treat the story with the respect and detail it deserves.

What if the sentinels went back into another formation? You couldn't tell 1 from the other from the distance in the trailer.

I do not appreciate B.Net Group solicitation. If you ignore this and send me an invitation anyway, I will block communications with you.

Semantics are really, really silly... but I'd like to point out that the micro Dyson Sphere, within a bubble of compressed dimensionality, was noted in the novel by Dr. Halsey to likely only appear to be about 3 meters in diameter to an outside viewer... which means that no one could even see the thing unless they were literally feet from it.

I don't think that qualifies as referring to it as Onyx, especially considering the notion that things within Slipspace encapsulation are not really "there" to begin with, anyway.
