Now you unlocked the flames for everyone in Halo: Reach, and the Bungie nameplate too, but what about giving the flames to Halo 3 players too? Maybe with the same criteria (play on Bungie Day, and you unlock them forever). Please Bungie, you gave them in Halo: Reach, now think about Halo 3 too. It was the most played game on Xbox Live, your best creation so far, don't abandon it!!!
I made this thread to ask urk why they can't give us flames: http://www.bungie.net/Forums/posts.aspx?postID=62121042

Yes, we don't want you to have flames in Halo 3 and we're lying to cover it up.
:|
Last year was custom code. We deployed it, remained in control of the back end, and later turned it back off. I asked our guys to investigate doing something similar for this year (which they are still doing), but I can't guarantee it will come to fruition, even though I want it to.
Since we will lose access to title support for Halo 3 soon, we need to be careful and considerate with how we impact the people still playing it, and ensure that the new stewards aren't passed a smouldering server in need of immediate repairs.
Responsibility. It's a -blam!-.
All started from this topic, where an user asked for the flames.
this was Urk's message:

Halo 3's flames weren't set up like Halo: Reach's, as part of the Armory. We would have to force them on and players wouldn't be able to switch them off. Ever.

I created a group, the "Flames in Halo 3" (yes, the title isn't that good). Please join it!

EDIT: I already attempted a crusade to get the Bungie chest, unfortunately they have locked the topic, but it's still visible here.
EDIT2: I want to reply here to all those stupid arguments against the idea of giving us flames I already saw:
The "just a couple of pixels" argument: Invalid.
If those pixels are still coveted they aren't just a couple of pixels, they surely mean something. They represent Bungie itself, and now that they won't be in charge anymore, they could leave a trace of what they did, not just in the starting menu, but something that player could wear to show they're still loyal to Bungie, like they're doing in Halo: Reach.
The "I don't want the flames, period." argument: Invalid.
Plain and simple, if you don't want the flames, just don't wear them. And if you only like the design of the Bungie chest, you can wear EOD. But I bet my wet part after teabagging n00bs that if you had the flames, you would wear them while playing.
The "Halo 3 is a dead game" argument: That's just a fail...
Halo 3 will die when they'll switch off Xbox Live servers. There are people still playing Halo: CE, still playing Halo 2. There will be Halo 3 loyal fans and players too.
