Could you imagine, a game (or book) completely from the Covenant side?

As in, the enemies were all Marines/ODSTs, we knew very little about the Spartans, but a massive chunk about the Elites or Brutes? (They would be player/main characters).

Instead of mowing down Elites, we would be mowing down Spartans supported by Marines (grunts) or ODSTs (jackals?).

I wonder if people would still be bull-blam!- about how Spartans are untouchable gods of war.

It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank god that such men lived. ----------- No Bastard ever won a war by dying for his country. He won it by making the other poor dumb bastard die for his country. (both by George S. Patton jr.)

Are you saying that what if the all the game made were from a covenant view instead of the UNSC side?

Still going on about how Spartans suck?

Ha JK, but you need to tell Kaos how Alderic shouldn't have an energy sword.

Ummm, I would pre-order the legendary copy of that game.

Yeah, it'd be obviously different, but what if they were all from the Covenant viewpoint (as an Elite or Brute).

Our typical enemies being replaced.

Elites - Spartans
Grunts - marines
jackals - ODSTs
hunters - Cyclops

and so on.

Instead of hearing/seeing elites gunned down all the time, we would see spartans, and so on.

edit: Lol galactic. Spartans don't suck, but people do overstate their abilities too often.

Imagine a triangle. It's perfect, but a little plain. You take a chisel, and carve a small decorative symbol into it to make it a little more interesting. People like it, but it could use a little more.

So you then take a sledgehammer..

Sounds cool, but when would it take place?

I agree. As for my post on the other forum (which you may or may not have read) Alex mercer would win. Sure Spartans are Gods on the battlefield, but they're still human.

Whenever during the war? Obviously it'd have to be an alt timeline for so many spartans and all.

Time to get a drink and watch the world burn. Or deal with it.

would'nt t make more sense if they just made mre varients of marines, than making more spartans? Like adding riot sheild marines carrying grenade launchers or something?

Well, yes that is how it would be if they actually released one, my point is.

"What if instead of seeing Spartans (playing as Master Chief) easily gunning down massive numbers of covenant/Elites/brutes, we instead played an Elite or brute (Thel/Rtas*halfjaw* or Tartarus or another brute) who faces Spartans like Master Chief faced Elites/Brutes."

I think everybody would be viewing Spartans a lot differently.
