Halo fan since 1999 MacWorld Trailer

I rember way back when, I was at a cousins house and he showed me this video (I wasent into videogames that much at the time) and I dident think much of it, but years later after playing Halo, that video came to mind, I did some searching and found a picture that I rember as being a scene from the video.

Right now Im really into Halo before xbox (or pre-xbox Halo), Ive been looking at a lot of screens, and watching some old videos and trailers, seeing how things have change and admireing the Pre-Xbox Halo, which still to this day looks like a really cool game. (I love the enviroments in that game). I know the old build has no A.I. but I would still love to play it someday. Anyways to the point, I have been trying to find that video that I mentioned eairler in the post. So here is a link to the screen shot and if anyone knows where I can find that video I would greatly apperacite it.

Lazy

I slightly rember the video, and I recall a guy (now known as Master Chief) running inside a room or building and pressing a button, and I rember some banshee flying around, I dont rember much but I know that screen shot is from the video.

Im shure the video is before 2000, because the E3 2000 video is much closer to the current Halo.

Yea, I have a DVD that shows Halo at MacWorld 1999, E32000, and Gamestock 2001. It's pretty cool. I'm glad they made it a First Person shooter insead of a third person.

sweet, that game still looked sweet though. I hope they make enviroments like that in their next game.

Where did you get the DVD? and do you know where I can find that trailer online?

I think you can get the whole thing of the first Halo videos on the disc version of the multiplayer pack--can't remember 100% though. Later versions of the "Game of the Year" version of Halo has a small collection of vids as well. I'll have to check this-I'm positive they have the original trailer for Halo on one or the other of those discs.

No, my friend had the map pack, I think that was all stuff around Halo 2, as for the game of the year, I have that and there is nothing. In fact I was just playing Halo today.

Well here is the E3 2000 Halo video, and thats toataly differnt from the 1999 trailer, and thats the one Im looking for.

Did the E3 2000 trailer have the dinosaur like creatures roaming around? In the end of it the MC tosses the marine onto the Pelican and says he's staying and the fight's just beginning.
I swear there's versions of Halo that had a 2 or 3 Halo trailers in it. The Game of the year editions at my store just have the fuzion frenzy demos, but I know there are versions that have Halo trailers on them. Maybe the Platinum hits edition?

I'll have to check your video link when i get home, my work PC coughed up blood when i linked.

It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves the flag, whose coffin is draped in the flag that allows the protester to burn the flag.Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC

I have the e3 2000 demo. It rocks.

Did you know the marines in that video, are characters based off of bungie employees.

I respect your opinion, I'm probably just going to disagree with it.

Yeah, the characters in normal Halo are too!

What you want is ' The Evolution of Halo ' which has lots of the old stuff.
There's also the macworld halo demo with the old master chief in it, but I don't have a link for that.

I think the coolest bit of E3 2000 is the elite commander, HE HAS A SHIELD!!!! That should have been implimented. The cool move he does with the sword rawks too, he lifts up the marine lol, im so blatantly gonnna be a character animator.
Some other cool stuff ive noticed: The massive pistol in the pre xbox screens, and the old assault rifle, which looks well good, its not quite the same as the normal AR.

Yeah, the one you dont have is the one Im looking for, haha. I think the greatest thing about the pre-xbox halo, the one from around 1999 and others around that time was the enviroment, Its massive oppen and free, with lakes and what not scattered around. Yeah I want to get into character animination as well.
