"I may not be perfect, but always been true."

Meh, I personally wouldn't care, by using it, they would just delay their deaths for what? 3 seconds?

They slow their death down by 5 seconds. In a normal game there are about 70 kills in total. This means that nearly 6 minutes of a game could be wasted watching people armour lock. It kills the pace of the game, and thus should be removed.

AL just slows the game down.

Reach is a joke ged

Or we could just remove armor abilities all together..............................

Yeah, because everybody uses Armor Lock eh? Besides, the average Reach game with Armor Lockers is at much 8 minutes, or at least it is for me.

Vengeance only leads to an ongoing cycle of hatred.

Hahaha. NO. Worst idea. Ever. They need to take Armor Abilities out all together.

Bungie Pentathlon - who actually cares ?

This.

Halo was so much better when it was you, a gun and great level design and nothing else

Scandinavian Master Race!

NO!

  • 06.17.2011 6:07 AM PDT

Good lord no.

It's unfair that players can decide to ignore all damage at their random whim.

Halo is about killing other players because you aimed/maneuvered better or because you used an advantageous weapon. Halo isn't about players becoming a rock and than turning hostile again in five seconds.

This is Sparta!!! eh I mean Reach ^^

No please, though i often use armor lock.
Also in the campaign please just give Master Chief the
bubble shield, that is enough.
By the way, is the armor lock actually alien technology too?
Brutes and Elites are using it in Reach, so do the Skirmishers
have hologram.

Imagine a triangle. It's perfect, but a little plain. You take a chisel, and carve a small decorative symbol into it to make it a little more interesting. People like it, but it could use a little more.

So you then take a sledgehammer..

Absolutely not. It is EXTREMELY unbalanaced and it makes the game no fun. AL can go die in a hole and never return.

"I Prefer Warm Halo, Sauted in Awesomesauce"

I think that armor lock is good of vehicle heavy maps (hemmorage) but on infantry only maps it is bad.

BLAM!

IMO no, since it was not in H:CE, H2, or H3.

They should just re-institute the bubble shield. That way you can discern a logical progression from the development of Armor Lock and Drop Shield to the Bubble Shield of H3

My name is Legion, for we are many.

I SAY HELL NO

Armor Abilities as a general idea, yes, but Armor Lock doesn't belong in the game. Since in Halo you have Mjolnir armor and energy shields, and weapons have different effects against shielding and health, it's already a slower-paced shooter than some other games - though I have nothing wrong with that. Armor Lock, however, forces players to waste time waiting for the guy to unlock and thus slows down a multiplayer match even more.

Just try to play competitively with a Needle Rifle/DMR/Assault Rifle/Pistol against an enemy team containing 4+ Armor Lockers, and you'll see what I mean.

hi

its against cannon to have armor abilities in halo 4. the whole thing was that tech was supposed to be exparimental and die with reach when it was glassed.

True. Maybe the Halo 3 equipment then, but with a new inventory system that would work kind of like Left 4 Dead's?

question everything...truth has no pedigree

I'd like to see it return, but they should tweak it a bit.

  • 06.17.2011 8:55 AM PDT

I really don't have much of a problem with it. OTHER people on the other hand...
