OK, here is how to do a link. Type "Here is where you type what you want the link to say" without the quotes. Here is a link to google News made by that method. Google News. Enjoy. Also: Remember that the 'Preview' button is your friend. Use it, love it.

Don't drink to excess– You might shoot at tax-collectors... and miss

Computer: Power Mac G5 CPU Type: PowerPC G5 (2.2) Number Of CPUs: 2 CPU Speed: 1.8 GHz L2 Cache (per CPU): 512 KB Memory: 1.25 GB Bus Speed: 900 MHz

ATi Radeon X800 XT Mac Edition
Display Type: LCD Resolution: 1680 x 1050 Depth: 32-bit Color

Go to the web page you want to link to and copy the string of text that is in the menu bar at the top of the window– that is the url. Then follow the above instructions. Also, if you look at the lower right hand section of this page, there is a box with examples of ways to make links.

make sure when you click preview that you double check the url. the preview and edit buttons sometimes leave spaces in the url at line breaks. your links will be broken if you dont double check them.

Yeah, even after I got help with making links I still didn't understand. How I learned is by quoting somebody, and in the quote you can see how everything they type, including the url, was created. So use somebody as an example to understand how to make links.

But remember, the 'preview' button is your friend.

Heh...only when we feel like it, though.

By the by, when writing a post, there should be a box right there>>
that should have the connotations of everything you can do in a forum. Just stick your text between the two tags. For example, if sarcasm were an optional tag, just do:

[sarcasm]oh my god![/sarcasm]

and the forum will take care of the rest of it.
