"Our future is at hand"

Think of the Possibility A Game that has a BR and a DMR or a Carbine and a Needle Rifle just in each set of Class.

My name is Legion, for we are many.

Weapon classes/tiers? Please elaborate a little. I'm not so sure exactly what you mean.

its like Crysis 2 or Bad Company 2 type of Classes/Tiers. Like from Weakest weapon to Strongest weapon in that Class

Oh...okay...I see. It might be hard to incorporate that into a Halo game though.

We are all dying.

Some faster than others..........

nah, it would be best w/ loadouts that had armor abilites as well.

  • 06.17.2011 7:58 AM PDT

I don't think that's very Halo-ey. It would be cool, however if there were maybe two of some types of weapons, like two different assault rifles and pistols and shotguns. But not too many, that would change the game dynamics too much for it to really be a sequel.

Siggy sig sig right here in this box

No loadouts. Just have us start out with 1 weapon the whole game, like h3

  • 06.17.2011 8:42 AM PDT

fits with marksman weapons well, the likes of Designated Marksman Rifle > Battle Rifle > Sniper Rifle, since they go in order of weakest to most powerful.

I wouldn't like it and I don't think this topic belongs here

problem is, Halo must evolve or it will become stagnant. Crysis II implemented a great system with classes and armour 'modules', something that Halo should take note of, sick of 'worthless' pieces of armour that do nothing to game-play and stuff. why can't E.O.D armour make you more resistant too explosives like its supposed to but do something to your mobility or something? there is plenty, and I mean plenty of room to improve Halo with the next game and I think we should be supportive, anything to make the multi-player that bit more 'enjoyable'.

can't believe people are saying its a bad idea? a bad idea is leaving the ability to hop around like an idiot in the game, because they do a great job at ruining the game-play!

Frankie did say dramatic innovations will be made for Halo 4

think its a great thing personally, needs to be darker and less 'hopper' friendly and such! for me that ruins the multi-player when enemies just hop around like idiots all the time. would also love to see the series get 'turbo-charged' and go grand scale, with huge set pieces, epic story-mode and moving soundtrack. needs struggle, terror, defiance, the things that make a story great!

we need spectacular high definition battles with tons of smoke, dust, ash, blood and noise, to immerse the player in the Halo universe like never before. some sort of system on multi-player that rewards players for excellence and punishes players for being stupid, quitting and team-killing, the spawn system needs reworked to prevent spawn killing (got spawn killed around five times in a row on SWAT the other day, didn't even get to move!) also how about giving us armour that actually does something, so getting those upgrades for helmets give you some sort of reward, like the bullet tracer in Crysis II or armour enhance in Crysis II. don't for the love of Jesus give us another Halo III or another Halo Reach, we've played those already!

Stosh hates toast!

There should be more than 30 weapons for classes.

They should make it that the visor shape of your helmet should determine what your screen looks like

say your have scout so your screen would be small and thin

or EVA your screen would be full

and if there are visor colors
your screen should change color with the visor color you use

personally i really like your armor idea. Though it might lower customization (due to wanting the best ability), I think it would be a great idea.

I agree with him to a certain extent. Though I see where the other guy is comming from by saying it wouldn't be very Haloy.
Halo needs to evolve, but still needs to feel like Halo. Very tough spot 343 is in..

this might be a thin wire for the designers in my opinion halo is meant to be very fast at least when choosing weapons i can tell what most weapons are at twenty feet away or more but if they mess with the weapons to much it might become harder to choose weapons ex. currently the DMR or assult rifle are good weapons that work in almost any situation and most other weapons are for more special situations with different tiers and classes this may not be the case and we could go from hey someone droped me a battle rifle(grab) to lets see here battle rifle, DMR, pistol blam to many choices my brain hurts

Rawr Im a dino!

This new Halo game should have as much variation as possible without getting to overwhelming. This is what I fear Bungie did. They said they were getting rid of repetetive weapons like the beam rifle and smg when people like the variations of the weapons.

@A Village Idiot

1. Everyone would pick EVA

2. BLack screen, really gonna help.
