Never Take A Half Measure When You Should Take A Full Measure.

Hopefully this is the right place to post? :D I was wondering as much of a silly question it may be, Is it possible to transer my old halo vidmasters to my new account or must I "Endure" it again. xD

Also wondering because im a noble member and dont want to spend two more years waiting to get to this status again :\

The reason im making the new account is one of the guys was messing with my proflie in software class and changes saved to it that might get it suspended and iv contacted xbox enforcement team about it but havent heard anything back so i assume i might aswell start a new account to be safe.

Any help on this matter appriciated? :)

Thanks :D

If you're only getting a new Xbox Live account, you could always unlink your existing one from this bungie.net profile and link your new one instead. Keep in mind that your achievements won't be carried over, though.

I may seem to come across as a -blam!-, but I'm really just trying to help.

You can change your linked gamertag to this account, as for the whole member title, it really isn't anything to stress over you'll always be an equal as long as you have a good head on your shoulders.

Would that hardly carry over ranks and my recon that I spent the ridculous amount of effort getting xD ?

Thanks for the replys!
Much appriciated. :D

'Fraid not. There's no way to transfer unlockables (armour, achievements) from one Xbox Live profile to another.

I don't understand what would I get by linking this to my new account so? :S Or can I only have one account with my actual name on bungie?

Thanks for the helping even with these silly questions :P

From your first post, I'm assuming that you want to create a new (permenant) Xbox Live profile, but you don't want to create a new bungie.net profile. If this is correct, then I'd suggest you unlink your old gamertag and link your new one instead. If I'm not understanding you properly, let me know and I'll hopefully be able to help you come up with a better plan of action. :P

Haha thanks :D Well I dont mind creating a new bungie.net proflie I just dont understand how I would benefit from keeping my old one and linking it to my new one? And yes im creating a new permanent Xbox Live profile :D

Not soon enough though :( it's been two weeks awaiting a response from XBL Enforcement team and I dont want to purchase another year of gold only to have my account closed you see :\

I just want to get back to playing halo :( :P

You can of course create a new bungie.net account if you like. You wouldn't be able to have the same username, but you're free to create multiple accounts (as long as you don't use them to evade forum bans - though that's a different topic entirely).

^ This is the reason I suggested linking your new gamertag to your current bungie.net account. If you create a completely new b.net account, you'll lose your member title, join date, post history, etc. If those things matter to you, you can always keep this account and re-link your new gamertag to it. If you don't care about this stuff and want a new b.net account, then just create a new one.

Hopefully you get where I'm coming from now. If not, let me know. Good luck getting your XBLive account sorted as well.

I understand where your coming from now thanks :D Although if I was to keep my current bungie account for the new xbox live profile does this mean that it would be possible to re unlock recon or will it just resync with my new accounts achievements and see that I dont have it unlocked?

Thanks for spending your time helping me with this, I really appriciate it :P :D

I just want to know what im getting myself in for to redo all my hard work *sigh because of a silly mistake lol

Though I have no experience with this personally, my understanding is that if you link a different gamertag to this account, you'll be able to unlock Recon again, but you'll need all of the achievements unlocked on the new gamertag.

No worries dude. Any more problems, I'm a PM away.

Oh ok thats fine I will probably keep this account in that case so.

Finally Got a response off the XBL team seems Ill have to start a new account or continue playing labelled as a cheater after what happened apparently even after all my hard work and dlc put into the account, which I find entirely fair but have never cheated online or in a game so I dont understand why such a harsh decision. :S

Thanks I think you have helped plenty but Ill keep it in mind! :D

And on the seven7h day......

If you're just getting suspended, whys that so bad? It's not like you're getting banned till 12/31/1999?

I don't think getting banned 'til 12 years ago would be such a harsh punishment ;)

Sorry, i meant 12/31/9999. But, why cant you just take the ban like a man, which would be easier in the long run: No having to re earn Recon and all your achievements, same bungie account, etc.

Never Take A Half Measure When You Should Take A Full Measure.

Lol that would be pretty harsh :P But I'd get the enjoyment of playing many games for the first time again ;D

Id do that but playing labelled as a cheater after all my hard work would just annoy me seeing as I still dont see how having someone messing up some achievements on my account hurt anyone tbh.. :S

Ill admit Im not looking foward to doing everything again whatsoever but its better than playing against everyone online and them thinking I hack =P

  • 06.17.2011 6:13 PM PDT

And on the seven7h day......

Actually, my friend got gamer score reset and when they do that, they mark you as a cheater. They dont actually forcefully change it to Cheater until the second gamerscore reset. Only you will see you as cheater, but xbl people will see it as pro or whatever

Oh right well the person I was speaking to earlier said under the circumstances I should expect that to happen :\ So I figure I might aswell make a new account as I dont want to have to look at that even if others cant see it as silly as that sounds.. :S :L

I suppose on the bright side Ill have plenty of games to play over the summer? hah it's just gonna be some pain to do the vidmasters and cods all on vet again xD

  • 06.17.2011 6:28 PM PDT

how do you unlink an existing gamertag?
