Haven't read Cryptum or Evolutions but I agree Contact Harvest was the worst... there were some good bits in it but alot of the enviroments described in it were just so hard to imagine.

"What they don't knw Can't hurt Them

i would have to say evolutions, there were all great and evolutions was still pretty damn good but simply didn't meet my expectation of a Halo book.

Imagine a triangle. It's perfect, but a little plain. You take a chisel, and carve a small decorative symbol into it to make it a little more interesting. People like it, but it could use a little more.

So you then take a sledgehammer..

The Flood, poorly written and very little information added IMO. The rest were incredible.

Contact Harvest. Too much emphasis on the AIs Mack and whats her face. And the sex scene at the end was completely unnecessary. And I could not figure out exactly why the covenant engaged the humans when they landed on Harvest, because i thought the brutes wanted peace.

I thought The Flood was well written and interesting.

One of the grunts got scared and jumped on a soldier, and he let out a BR burst. Or something ike that.

I didn't think it was a horrible book, however. It still explained some things. Just not too well. Nonetheless, it's a Halo book and automatically worth my time reading.

I think that the story of Halo is better told with books. I think they should make a book about Halo 2, and Halo 3, because they would explain things more. With the books I can point a beautiful vivid picture in my head.

Because Muslims surgically implant organic bombs in their testicles, which in turn will be injected into women during sex, which will grow into BABY BOMBS!

Definitely the Cole Protocol and Cryptum. Cryptum especially, was terribly written.

-blam!- Was that actually blammed out? Or did I just type it? You'll never know.

Cryptum followed by Harvest and then Cole Protocol. Flood wasn't a bad book it was just pretty unnecessary.

"Living in the past is a luxury none of us can afford..."
"I know what the ladies like..."

I loved Contact Harvest and think if any of the canon in the books would be put to question this one would definitely not be jeaprodized since Staten, who wrote most of the trilogy's story, was the author. I loved the bits of humor in it and was only somewhat caught off guard by the kind of unnecessary sex scene.

The Flood. While entertaining, it was poorly written and too much of it was a carbon copy of the Halo: CE campaign.

Only part about The Flood that I didn't like was how they described Master Chief.
