Today, I was chilling with six of my friends, we decided to order pizzas, grab some beef jerky, Tijuana mamas, mountain dew, and Chinese food, and bust out two Xboxes for an all night Halo 2 (and some Halo 3) system link mini LAN party. Beaver Creek, Midship, Lockout.... some of the best maps ever. This made my nostalgia kick in big time. I remember the days of staying up to play the Halos until 3 AM, this really was a kickass way to say goodbye to Halo, not officially, but "Bungie Halo." Does anyone else have any good memories of Halo nights?

Many. :) I can still remember a pool/ LAN party I went to in '05. There was a jacuzzi, pool, food, and an abundance of Halo 2. We modeled ourselves after Red Vs. Blue characters. I was Sarge. We stayed up until we lost ourselves to mister sandman. It was an awesome time, one of many.

Hahaha. Sarge. Thats Classic, yeah, any large gathering of people with Halo, food, and multiple Xboxes is bound to be a great time.

This is a Reach account that I created the day they announced his name in a bnet weekly update. Any stats regarding ODST or Halo 3 are irrelevant. Also, Halo CE master race. Halo 1 > other halo games > other games.

Account Status: Silver :(

I still LAN CE about twice a month. Usually just play FFA though. I prefer Rat Trap.

GT: FatalxXxFrenzy -Check out my fileshare!! Map titled "Lagoon"

I haven't had a true halo lan in a long time. All my friends jumped -blam!- to COD :(. They miss halo 2 and feel like reach just isn't a good lan game. I love reach and agree that it isn't as good but I miss muh halo parties!

Man, I salute you, that sounds like awesome sauce. If only the PC gaming community was more "open" so to speak : ). PC lan party's do happen, but are slightly more complicated to organize. And heck, not everyone has a gaming PC.

50 in H2/H3? Great, but you still fail at this.

Damn, that's one ghetto ass PC. Get a new one.

This is actually the stupidest thing ever posted on B.net:

Why does everyone hate Halo 2? Maybe its because its the worst game ever next to mario.

Good ol' Halo LANs deliver. Especially back in CE when System Linking was a big deal and epic.

Too bad nobody around me plays xbox in real life and even like know what halo exactly is (COD kids -.-) but i dust out my original xbox sometimes for some xlink kai.. the lag is horrible but with like 5 players it isn't bad and i run a lot of 1v1's there.. even tho it sucks compared to matchmaking it's still so much FUN
