Is anyone else feeling a bit discriminated against right now besides me? Why no android version of Bungie mobile? It seems kinda dumb seeing as Android is the fastest growing OS in the mobile market.

Now, in the quantum moment before the closure, when all become one. One moment left. One point of space and time.

I know who you are.

You are Destiny.

Bungie already said they are possibly going to spread into other OS (no promises)(?). Bungie wanted a good starting point, and iOS gave it to them, especially considering the large amount of people with an iOS device.

Patience is a virtue.

Yeah, except last time I looked, Android phones made up about 33% of the world smartphone market, and iOS devices were only 16%. I don't know if Apple's numbers included the iPod Touch and the iPad, I admit, but still, I get a tad annoyed when it seems like a company assumes that the iOS devices are the only ones worth coding for.

Granted, that's just my opinion, and we all know what those are like.

EDIT: Hey, I can even cite my source, now. Linky.

I absolutely agree!!! I think it is the most ridiculous thing that Microsoft and Bungie would make this available for a what...... an APPLE product. Give me a break and get a clue guys.

Android is far superior and has a much larger client base that apple. Perhaps this is one more desperate move by Steve Jobs to try and keep the obsolete iphone alive. People are not going to switch to the piece of junk for a couple Halo Benefits.

Come on Bungie...

  • 06.19.2011 6:25 PM PDT

Um.....Red name tag??

All I have is an Android phone so I hope they release it for us.

  • 06.19.2011 7:41 PM PDT

I'm sure they will put it on the Android market. We'll just have to wait.

Doesn't microsoft own bungie and therefore they DONT own the iphone? I'm pretty sure apple has nothing to do with bungie..

Apparently you two aren't aware that Bungie has been an independent company since October 2007.

I hope they'll release Bungie Mobile for Android too!!
And they're making they're 1st Aerospace Project on Android too rather than an iOS-only app, so I'm pretty sure they really heard us loud and clear, like they stated!!

Actually, Bungie is independent of Microsoft, so Bungie can do whatever they want. (Unless Copyright, put when Bungie dominates the world, who cares?)
And you'd be amazed by who'd switch for a Bungie App.

δόξει τις ἀμαθεῖ σοφὰ λέγων οὐκ εὖ φρονεῖν.

Euripides, Bacchae. 480.

I've no desire for it, since it doesn't seem to do anything useful.

Hi.

I don't see why they didn't do it on Android first. Isn't Android the easiest to customize and be compatible with?

Anyways, considering I have an Android phone, yes I would like this.

Not at all.

Steve Jobs has nothing to do with iOS developers. You just buy a iOS dev kit and then you can make and upload your own apps to the iTunes store.

The Bungie app isn't supposed to convince people to switch over for the benefits. iOS was just a starting point, and Urk hinted that Bungie Mobile for Android was in-progress.

  • 07.03.2011 8:09 AM PDT

Much agreed. Although granted, I guess I don't really see the benefit of the app itself. I'm just upset that Bungie, like so many mobile game developers, feel that the iPhone/iPad is/are the only device(s) worth making games for. C'mon, Bungie. Show a little love toward Droid users.

iOS used to be the default choice, but it shouldn't be anymore.

Bow chicka bow wow

Huge android fanboy here and i don't find it unreasonable they started with IOS. Yeah android dominates the phone market but IOS basically is the tablet market and the ipod touch dominates the PMP market. They're probably way more IOS devices than android phones.

I have an iPhone, but it would be great for the application to become available on other mobile devices.
