Subject: Who wants Android Bungie Mobile?

The reason they do it on Apple is because that is one phone. Android is superior. However, there are multiple different phones. They may all have a very similar android os version, but they still have to make it work for all phones.

Nope.

I would love to see an Android Bungie app. It would be great if more apps were developed for iPhone and Android simultaneously, rather than iPhone first and foremost and Android... indefinitely (then eventually being released eight months later).

On that note, it would be spectacular if the iPhone didn't have to come with its own exclusive plan (at least that's how it was when I was last phone shopping). Having to change my service plan was the only thing that precluded me from buying one.

I think those numbers would go up if they included iPad and iPod Touch users. Besides, the Bungie app doesn't really do to much. You can see your Halo Reach stats and challenges on other apps and anything that can access the internet. Until Bungie starts adding new stuff to the app, your not missing out on anything.

It's not about missing anything. It's about wanting what you don't have. Your neighbor buys a newer, shinier version of your car. Your car is fine, but you want his car, because he has it, and you don't.

Android love would be loved. I'm getting jealous...

I will be patient, as I have been, and wait for Bungie Mobile on my Android phone.

Well I get what your saying, but the car analogy isn't a very good one. Especially when many people customize their vehicles...

Bungie already said they are possibly going to spread into other OS (no promises)(?). Bungie wanted a good starting point, and iOS gave it to them, especially considering the large amount of people with an iOS device.

Patience is a virtue.

I thought Android surpassed iOS sometime last year?

As of the start of this month, Android enjoys a 50% market share that is growing. Not only that, the rate of growth of that share (not just of sales) is still accelerating. It won't be long until Android enjoys Windows-esque levels of monopoly. I've no idea why Bungie developed an iOS app first, other than the fact the web team all tote iPhones.

For everything else, there's stosh.

I suggest they expand to all mobile device OS.

Including, Balckberry (RIM) of course Mac and Android.

I'll help in any way I can. I very much so dislike using the mobile site and I can't perfect the Blackberry app myself.

Me thinks bungie favors ios...

Remember how halo was presented at an apple presentation by steve jobs? Then microsoft grabbed them up for thier new console...

Full circle, next game will run on apples new console...As well as 360 ps3...

Bungie had to start on something. Considering they have really just started their mobile adventures, it's quite fair to say we probably will see an Android version of Bungie mobile or something different in the future. If they went Android first, then the question would be if they would ever do an IOS version.

I'm not sure what the current status of such a project might be, but this is definitely something that I am surprised to not find on the android marketplace as of yet. Hadn't Bungie released the development tools to the community so we were ultimately the ones responsible for such a release? Correct me if i'm wrong but if so I would definitely be interested in starting development on such an application. Anyone that would like to join me just shoot me a private message.
