Ok heres the thought, sense i know half of the Halo maps are made useing 3D studio max 5 and 4 as well as some kind of RE thing. i been trying to conferm it for awhile. I been interested in makeing liget maps for the HALO PC first game made for the computer. But im haveing a hard time trying to confrm it with other people, I would like to be able to make more maps for people to play and try out, instead of playing the same maps over, and over, and over, and over. It honestly gets boaring after awhie. sense all the good known sniper positions from top to bottum are already know, and theres really no place to have even if your snipeing. Witch brings me to the point of asking the bungie tech, the people who develeps the maps if they would tell me what program they use for develeping Additional maps, not ones that are already implemented in to the game. Think of mechwarrior4 mercs for Exsample, houndreds and thousends of new maps are being develeped by varius peoples who take a pride in building thoughs maps.
What if we could use that mepediter program and use its aspects of the program to make our own halo maps? no i dont mean modding or anything, just simply provide some new stomping grounds for the game. Blood gulch is a good game but i have noticed in serton servers that map is modded to hell and back. Like huge tank rounds comeing out of the pistal, and the latest one of the pistal fieering like a maching gun in 1.1 millionths of a second per burst. Its fun but i think its because the maps has been playd on so much every one knows its weaknesses and strong points. BUT! What if we could make our own maps and submit them to bungie or who ever checks maps for glitches and hacks to see if its passable as a good playing liget map.
I was woundering because i would like to be able to make my own maps and submit them, i could make good long range and short range maps fit for the mission type.
