Don't worry, you're still your mom's favorite Bnet member.

Rumor has it that the Covenant weren't the best tacticians around. By extension, is it true that they only beat Earths orbital defense because they kept sending there ships straight at the human line until they eventually hit them enough to just go straight through?

That would mean that it was their numbers that "beat" the UNSC (Before Halo 3 of course). So I ask - if the Covenant and the UNSC had equal numbers of soldiers and equal numbers of spaceships; who would win?

The Covies' tech advantage still burns the UNSC off the face of the galaxy.

"Find where the liar hides, so that I may place my boot between his gums!" - Rtas 'Vadum

Isn't it just their technology? Their technology allows them to get away with tactics like that as far as I understand it. Having greater numbers is just an additional bonus. Although there were never really that much Covenant ships present in battles with the UNSC during the early war. The Covenant only started outnumbering the UNSC later on in the war I think, like during and after Reach.

I understand nothing because my life is a conspiracy.

Well, the war would be over before Halo: Reach.

Literally. The Covenant's glassing weapons would make for easy blitzkrieg on UNSC planets.

you do realize it would take 30 years to fully glass a earth sized planet

They still win in space, and can just burn human towns and cities from orbit. They don't have to fully glass it.

Which takes time and makes them a target, thus not effective for a rushing strategy.

I started up the heated debate on whether the SPARTAN-II in the cryo tube near the end of Reach is really Linda.
I created the Moa XING avatar pic.
Also I earned the All Star nameplate with this submission to Week 14 All Stars http://www.bungie.net/images/News/Inline11/bwu_0415/art/likea boss.jpg

Irony, ain't it? After all the Lies Prophets went through to come to power, would also be their downfall.

False, the would be no victor as they would have activated Delta Halo.
