Whoo.

The community is changing ... right now.

During Halo 3 I remember a lot of witty remarks and high Bungie concentration.

As Halo 3 dwindled things actually seemed to calm down.

The superintendent started the hunt, and I can honestly say Halo 3: ODST was a calming, mellow point.

Then came Reach. The sayings to adapt, the complaining, the rush, and the forgetfulness, and here we are.

That was just a broad outlook from my perspective.

I remember when it was called the Troll 3 forum.

The title is the question and it's a simple one. Just reflect on your time here and how the community has changed since you became a member.

I for one remember when The Flood would attack other forums on this websIte and not other websites entirly. Good times.

Edit: a change in community size is not an acceptable answer on this exam. Think deeper.

Ah, the days of drawball.
Little changes really, like on the Flood there have been a lot of new members in the past month. Also whenever someone tries to attack another forum now it's not that effective. Except when they where removed from the tab and raided the classifieds.

Halo3Planet, the place for all things Halo 3..

Need help finding skulls, make sure to go here.

In all honesty, I don't think it's changed very much (besides scale). After every release the game goes through the same cycles of people speculating about the game, then a huge influx of complaints when the game is released, then a slow decline of these complaints, eventually bottoming out at the same complaints over and over again.

The community really goes through the same exact patterns over and over.

Community's been like this since the launch of Halo 2. Pre-Halo 2 it was a bit more mature about the games Bungie made. That's to say there was less crying but then again the community was smaller too back then .

There's no way Nate Hawbaker's favorite hero is Alan Stuart

ALAN IS A BEAUTIFUL MAN!

Pre-Halo game: Love and excitement
Post-Halo game: Hate and rage

My own posts have also changed over the course of time.

To those commenting that he community has grown in size: has it also grown in diversity?

I know I'll probably get called by someone for this but; I think they complain a little more about the smaller things comparing to when I first joined. But that's just me. Other then a change in size I can't say that I have noticed much of a change really; or I'm just really ignorant on it..

Smart people leave, an equal amount arrive. Dumb people leave, and again, ones of similar intellect come. Albeit, more come than those who left.
We've gotten new mods, and some older mods post less now. In the grand scheme of things, nothing really changes except for the growth.

Case and point: don't worry about it. Girls start getting boobies pretty soon, and then you'll have plenty of other things to think about. Being an Inheritor is not a life goal.

The site changed A LOT. As did the community. It seems the larger Bungie gets the larger this online community becomes - until it engulfs teh world D:
