Who said they were Fat jokes Zag... >_>

I realized that the community has not only grown much larger, but also much more hardened.

The community hasn't changed, despite what anyone may say.

I do believe I know what I am talking about and I don't think we will ever agree on this so I'm not going to continue this discussion.

The community hasn't changed. I have.
Of course, I've only been here since September last year...

Wow Teh Nomad, I didn't realize until just now how new you are.

KillaGod is my alternate Bungie.net account with my Gamertag linked to that account!

Ty92PrideFireZ is my new alternate account with my new and permanent Gamertag linked to that account.

The Community has changed, alot. I can't remember exactly how it was back then, but the members and the moderators were alot more lenient and cool, even with my ignorant threads such as this one back in '06.

I am a Floodian

I'm not sure if I'm okay with the idea that the community hasn't changed. I would hope most of you would agree that he community can change, at least for the better.

I think I've changed more then anything...I'm not nearly as active as I use to be but funnily enough I just gained my heroic title. I guess the trick is to not be banned for a year xD

I can't really think of a change in the community as a whole, I only know individuals who have changed. I would like to say that it has matured but I guess the typical forum language shall always linger amongst these forums. For example recently I made a thread about how I had just played two Bungie employees and I was super excited and that they're playing a lot of invasion at the moment. Yes it was a fanboy, rather immature thread in itself bute the responses I got were the traditional facepalm comments and images. I laughed at myself and them and got reminded of how much of a community this forum really is. It has such an influential effect on everybody...sorta of like big brother little brother and habbits and trends being past down through the generations of newbies. I got all fuzzy <3

Ever since Halo 3: ODST came out, the community became corrupted; with the release of Halo: Reach, the community then worsened....

RIP Old BNet Community!<3

It hasn't changed suddenly to me, so it is just an adjusment every day. There are definitely more people from when I joined.

  • 06.20.2011 1:08 AM PDT

The bulk of users in the Halo forums generally get more and more immature with the release of every new title.

  • 06.20.2011 1:19 AM PDT

All the members seem the same, just bungie themselfs seems different. But I think thats a good thing.

Achronos: And what's this about a "design team" I've been hearing? Apparently stosh is so awesome he's now considered a "team".

If only we could convert it into energy...

The community has gained more collective weight.

The community has expanded and retracted plenty of times whilst I have been here.

There's been less community competitions and involvement with each other, and the game forums used to be filled with topical discussion, now they're just troll caves.

That's about it

The enemy of my enemy shall die next.

I know the voices in my head are not real, but they have some great ideas.

Brown chicken Brown cow!

Style and design changes, layout changes, the ebb and flow of members is still there but even that changes in that the core fans does grow.

And the limp noodle that hat wearing damn dirty ape uses to beat some of us into submission is longer...... Im sure it is.

Is that the drunken heavy hairy footsteps i hear? .........

The overall arrogance of a lot of members.

May I ask in what sense?

SPOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON!

I've changed a bit. I think the community has changed. Mostly in scale and girth. Its obviously a lot bigger now. While the overall patterns of how and why people post remains the same, the goals seem to have changed a bit.

I have not even bothered with the game forums or the Optimatch for years, so I can't really comment on those with any authority or perspicacity. I hope the new IP can get me back into that, because I used to love what people would come up with in Zanzibar.

Never in the field of human conflict was so much owed by so many to so few.

I only started posting when Reach was revealed. Until the beta the community for the post part seemed hugely optimistic and just generally nice.

However, once the beta was released, then Reach, there was constant bickering and childishness over practically everything, with immaturity coming to the fore.

I imagine that's something which has occurred with every game's release here though, so in a sense it isn't an actual change.

Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. ~ Einstien

A lot of the people I met back in '08 are never online...games change, so do the people. Bungie has remained the steady rock throughout.

I'm a college dropout.

The forums seem to be a little more boring then they used to be. I'm not sure if I've just been around the community enough to where it got boring, but I think it's becuase the same members that I remember posting don't really post as much anymore. There were certain individuals in the community that stood out for good/bad reasons which made things interesting. But I don't really see that much anymore.

The nostalgia might be clouding my vision but I remember a time when everyone loved Halo, and didn't complain about every little thing..then Halo 2 came out and it seemed that everyone and their grandma complained.
