Subject: Is anybody else nervous about Halo 4?

There are a lot of things left to be explained in the Halo 4 trailer. Some things just don't make sense. How is it that John's Armour has changed dramatically? from his helmet looking noticeably different to the changed shoulders, forearms and even the "Crotch piece" that's missing. John didn't go in there like that. His Armour actually looks new, and how is that after all the battles he went through? I really doubt that he got a new set of Armour from the ship he was in. You you guys can notice a big change in Cortana's voice and appearance. It just doesn't add up.

I for one think this could be a big mistake.

Where I'm going with this is that the trilogy is over. The fight is finished. It should be over. I'm not judging the game I'm just speculating. I've been a big fan of Halo since the beginning and I don't have the most faith in 343i after I saw this trailer. The more I watch it the more nervous I get. I'm really not sure if anybody can make a Halo other than Bungie. I guess only time will tell.

In the big picture Halo is ment to be a trilogy, not a franchise.

Hopefully most of the inconsistencies can be attributed to "artistic license" and "early build"

hopefully....

If you're passionate about the thing you're talking about, I'll always lend an ear.

It's a CGI trailer. I'll wait until actual gameplay details arrive to even leave an impression.

I'm skeptical.

I'll only be nervous in the last minutes during my wait in line at the midnight launch.

As to my faith in the game and the future of the universe, I am not fit to judge until I have seen more footage.

it wasn't a real cutscene ffs, it was just a trailer. MC won't burst out with all that new stuff with no explanation

A post I made on another forum pretty much sums up my feelings about Halo 4.

Cool your jets. I've got a lot of trust in 343. I'm worried because I don't want to see halo become the next call of duty.

Think about it. How excited were we when Halo 3 came out?

And how long did that hype build up?

Counting halo reach, the CE remake, and now H4, thats one new halo game every year. Does this sound familiar? What other highly recognised FPS franchise releases a new game every single year, to the point where the games themselves are little more then copy/paste's of each other?

And as for the new enemy, wasn't the flood supposidly the most dangerous ancient entity ever concieved in the haloverse? It literally pushed a race that had the technology to build worlds so far on the edge that they basically pulled a "Suicide Grunt" on everything around them in hopes of stopping the threat.

I'm worried that Micro$oft is going to milk the franchise dry until they literally run it into the ground. I'm worried that this new enemy is going to be redundant. I'm worried that this is the last i'll ever see of the covenant (I'm a sangheili fan). I'm worried that since a new halo game is being released every year, it's not going to feel special anymore. I'm worried that at the next E3, people will say: "Oh, theres another halo game coming out next year? Cool, I guess. Not like that's a surprise."

That, is why i'm worried.

If you care for, and honor the trilogy like that... then maybe you should choose not to play the next trilogy. But I get your point if it's the fear of 343 not living up to "the Halo standard".

Maybe you're right. I think 343i is making a big mistake, but I'll have to see gameplay before I make that decision. I just hope they're not..

Yeah we'll get a better impression of it then.

I bet you took the time to read over those sentences, checking for errors this time around. If so, my work is done retard.

My name is Tyler. Computers and Video games is what I love to do.

I am very skeptical about it, not sure how it will turn out without Bungie...

Do not panic, or you will fail.

If you are nervous about a video game, maybe you need to find some other things to do.

I haz clan and I can battle if u want. I also haz 1 more spot in my clan if you want 2 join. the service tag is TPSC and the emblem is a circle with a vortex.

I dont know how 343i is going to continue the series. The flood has been destroyed and the covenant has been defeated! I dont know if this will be a change for the better.

1) No it hasn't

2) The Covies still eist, albeit in a very degraded state.

3) Did you read the terminals? There's many more mysterious to solve, and, according to Medicant Bias, more to be done.

BLAM is my Gamer-tag.... and also a censor...and a Nickname... and a codename; for Halo CE.

Long live(ed) Ling-Ling.

All your base are belong to us.

I'm not nervous, they have Frank O'Connor.

@accordingto343

Your one stop shop for all of 343's fabulous errors and ridiculous notions in the Halo lore.

The guy who only wrote Weekly Updates and wrote a mediocre story for Halo Evolutions? Such misplaced faith.

To answer the question, hell yes am I nervous.

Like Frankie said, the core mechanics run so deep that you would intentionally have to break it in order to mess it up. I believe that they know what they are doing and the fan-base behind Halo, and would do anything in their power to keep its fans happy.

I may seem to come across as a -blam!-, but I'm really just trying to help.

As it was just a teaser trailer a year and a half in advance to the game's release no need to panic yet. In a few interviews Frankie has stated there will be reason and explanation to Chief's armor change.

Hmm. I missed a couple capitalized words and that's about it from what I see. Would you like to show me where I messed up at? jackass.

I agree. There headed in the wrong direction with Halo. I have a feeling they will start to make one every year and I really don't want that.
