Yes, a Spartan can hold two pistols at once.
But I didn't really like it in Halo 3.
So no.

  • 06.20.2011 5:41 PM PDT

It should return for the CE remake.

Hm...I say bring it back for the Anniversary and see what the fans think. If it feels right, then bring it back for Halo 4. If not, then oh well.

I suspect llamas are secretly wizards. I <3 poptarts n' milk. I like me. Grimick is defined as: a logical parodox, the act of funnaling a potato down your throat, and a deliciously flavored muffin (with pecons and blueberries). Norway is the Swedish word for 'moron'. My sister has cancer, so i get to use handicap parking and cut small children in line at Disneyland.

"The pancake, my friend, has officially been flipped."

I thought duel wielding was really fun in halo 2 and 3

Vengeance only leads to an ongoing cycle of hatred.

Yes. It was in Halo 2 then 3 so it would be stupid to not have it in the next game. Who cares if it wasn't in Reach. That game was a complete abomination.

  • 06.20.2011 7:01 PM PDT

Don't worry, you're still your mom's favorite Bnet member.

No. As fun as dual wielding is, it forces them to make dual wieldable weapons weaker to accommodate for the fact that you can hold two. Can you imagine wielding two Pistols in Reach at once? If dual wielding was in, they would either have to make the Pistol weaker to accommodate or make it a single wield weapon. And making it single wield, defeats the purpose entirely.

In halo 4? Sure. His Mark VI wouldn't magically loose the ability to track two weapons at once on the HUD.

or they could just make the wieldable weapons just as good by themselves but make it harder to be able to actually acquire 2 of them, like not having 2 plasma rifles next to eachother on the ground to pick up like in Halo3. As for the pistol (since it mostly likely will still be a starting weapon) they should get rid of scope so dual wielding 2 of them would only be good for close range... I dunno

I don't see why not. Besides, it would be nice to go "all guns blazing" in halo 4.

For Carnage Apply Within

They think that they have pacified Ireland. They think that they have purchased half of us and intimidated the other half. They think that they have foreseen everything, think that they have provided against everything; but the fools, the fools, the fools! — they have left us our Fenian dead, and while Ireland holds these graves, Ireland unfree shall never be at peace

'life is a stare down with death himself'

they should bring it back so it makes sense, it would kind of be odd for chief's armor BIOS to suddenly downgrade to MKV.

Thanks for Team Snipers Bungie.
Mythic Member, Legendary Member and back and forth. i just can't make up my mind!
Campaign - Halo C.E.>Halo 2>Halo 3
Multiplayer - Halo 2>Halo 3>Halo C.E.
Just about every thing I post is my opinion and nothing more. Be subjective. Respect other's opinions. Try to understand other's point of view.

I think it should if it is implemented correctly. In Halo 2 it had a purpose. Dual wielding actually was worth it in medium/close range combat. SMG/Plasma Rifle, and SMG/SMG were all good up close. Plasma Pistol/Pistol and Needler/Needler were good at medium range.

In Halo 3 Dual wielding just wasn't effective enough to make you drop your battle rifle or assault rifle.

  • 06.20.2011 9:27 PM PDT

Personally no. I never even used it, except a little bit in Halo 2.

I may seem to come across as a -blam!-, but I'm really just trying to help.

Most definitely, but with slightly longer reload times.

I miss dual wielding as well. And it wouldn't make any sense to kept it out, seeing as it would be a downgrade.

Yeah, it wasn't as good in Halo 3, but I found the SMG/Spiker combination to be worth it.

I'm 23, I have a house, dog, girlfriend, job and I have no interest in any fanboyism so if you're thinking about sending me a childish PM, don't be surprised when I don't call back.

I agree with this, then again I think the overall weapon balance for Halo 2 was better than the other games, it felt right.

Does anyone even look at these?

Yeah, that or you could just make dual wielding have a much wider bullet spread, which would eliminate the problem of having under powered single wielding.

It was great on legendary though. Plasma and Regular pistol win.

Oh God yes! I miss it gretly in Reach, I loved mixing all the different crosshairs together in Halo 3, although the needler should definately stay single-weilded.

  • 06.21.2011 4:49 AM PDT

Yes, I would like to see the return of dual wielding in Halo 4. Seriously, we have two hands so we should be able to use two weapons.
