Subject: Should dual weilding return in Halo4?

Canon wise yes.
Gameplay wise no.

If I was in a room with justin Bieber, Bin Laden, Hitler and a gun with two bullets I would Shoot Bieber twice.

Time to get a drink and watch the world burn. Or deal with it.

I thought plasma rifle/spiker the most effective. It made me feel powerful.

Yes, dual wielding should make a return. Because regardless of how the weapons were balanced in Halo 3, it was a multiplayer experience I enjoyed 100%.

Yes to dual wielding.

I DO have time to bleed...i just dont want to.

defenetly i loved duel wielding magnums and maulers. i know it would be OP but it would be cool to beable to duel wield BRs and ARs maby just in campagne

Hell yeah, specially if it replaces Armor Abilities.

  • 06.21.2011 4:45 PM PDT

Yes. Even if it's overpowered.

No. As fun as dual wielding is, it forces them to make dual wieldable weapons weaker to accommodate for the fact that you can hold two. Can you imagine wielding two Pistols in Reach at once? If dual wielding was in, they would either have to make the Pistol weaker to accommodate or make it a single wield weapon. And making it single wield, defeats the purpose entirely.

Meh, I think there are ways they can easily compensate and make them effective single and dual-wield weapons. Honestly I thought the dual-wielded weapons were all fine on their own without a second weapon in Halo 3. I think that it should return, it was one of the features that set Halo apart from other shooters imo.

It should return for the CE remake.

Hm...I say bring it back for the Anniversary and see what the fans think. If it feels right, then bring it back for Halo 4. If not, then oh well.

Bringing it back for halo anniversary wouldn't be a good idea for 2 reasons:
1. 343I said they didn't touch gameplay AT ALL. Adding dual-wielding would break that promise
2. Dual-wielding in halo anniversary doesn't canonically make sense, since the dual-wield feature was implemented only in the mark VI MJOLNIR armor at the time.

The way dual wielding is, no. But if it was changed so that dual weapons were less accurate, yes. That would mean you'd have an increase in firepower, with less accuracy and range.

I'm 18 right now. My hobbies are drawing, outdoor stuff, building stuff, video games, and reading. I would like to become a welder, or get my CDl license to become a truck driver, and drive around country.

I don't see why not. The Master Chief definitely has the strength, and the hand eye coordination to do it.

All spartans, especially in MJOLNIR, can duel wield.

Thing is, until Mark VI, the second weapon wasn't tracked on the HUD. No ammo counter, no reticule.
