I still think {Besides halo 2.} It was the very best one. I still play it everyday. And i see the server amount is dying. And i are sad......

Yeah. That's right. I don't have a 50 in H3. I never got Onyx in Reach. If a game sucks too much, I won't even bother trying for such trivial "accolades". Besides, I've done way more things that take far more skill and talent than anything that can be done in a video game.

It's past its prime, unfortunately. It had a good run, though. Better than many.

100% true statement. I imagine the bitter end to Halo PC is coming in the next few years. I'll make sure I'm around when the servers dwindle down to only a few (Just as I have for Starsiege Tribes). For the longest time it was the only game I ever even played online. Definitely holds the most and the greatest memories of all my gaming career. I might play other games, but I'll always recognize myself as a Halo PC player.

Add me to your friends list if you haven't already. It's a lot more fun to play with people from The Maw and people I know than random noobs.

I had a lot of good games back in the days of the Maw gatherings (and when this forum was still called the Maw). I will still enjoy playing now and again even if I have to host my own server :P

Heck, 500+ players is still pretty good for an eight year old game. I'll say we still have a good few years left. :)

EDIT: if the server count ever reaches 0, even in 5/15/20 years, i'll host my own dedi for eternity, I swear.

The bungie.net community is the halo PC community that is renowned for being unbelieveably sucky.

The real problem these days is finding competitive games on varied servers/gametypes.

Most people are either pros 3-6 shot kills with pistol, or horrible.

And most servers are rockets/unlimited nades.

It's getting difficult to find good games.

One nice thing though, is that aimbotting is virtually nonexistent once more.

True, also, zombie gametypes are getting increasingly more popular by the month. They're good, but are getting a bit boring too, especially Danger Canyon!

Please tell that to all the idiots who call me a bot -_-'

Well, towards what Zetren said about the population, all in all I counted it at being 2,810 the other day. Of course that was putting the population of PC, CE (1.09), and CE (1.00) together so it is really good. It's just that, like Barnacle said, nothing but absolutely horrible players or amazing players (Thank you, Btcc22, for making me look like I haven't played this game for more than 10 seconds each time we play on the same server xD)

Just wondering, why would you include the pirated versions?

It doesn't matter if they pirated it or not, it's still the player count lol. We're not talking about how much money Microsoft is making, we're talking about the overall population. If they're running Halo, on a multiplayer server, running around shooting a gun, they're a part of the PC population.

So why didn't you count Custom Edition 1.09?

Halo: CE will always be a legendary game. It will never be completely forgotten.

It didn't seem to long ago that I'd click refresh and my screen was filled up with many pages filled with servers. Not nearly as many now, but I still have fun with it.

Eh, was thinking there were over a 1,000 players on 1.09 when I realized I accidentally deleted my 1.09 .exe and just had two 1.00 .exes -_-'

In short, ignore that
