Whoops...

I'm interested in what the community's hopes for the vehicles in Halo 4 are.

So, Which (operable) vehicles do you think should/shouldn't be brought back in Halo 4(in both Campaign and Multiplayer)? What vehicles should be redone, and what are some of your ideas on the invention of new vehicles?

Other than those that obviously will make a return (Warthog, Ghost, Banshee, Scorpion, Wraith, etc.)

It will be interesting to see these integrated into the campaign of Halo 4, also since two large forces are no longer at war, and ordinance will be presumably rare.

I'd like the hornet and the chopper (which I doubt). I don't want any changes on vehicles. And new ones? Probably some forerunner aircraft and land vehicles.

yeah i think its about time we got to see some forerunner vehicles. ever since CE i've always wondered how the hell they got from one forerunner structure to the next when they have all that terrain to get across.

"Defiant Reclaimer, he who will shatter the land and break the sky apart..."

I was thinking maybe something water-related? A hovercrafty thing would be nice...

How 'bout a hoverhog?

Bungie need a 'Like' button!

I would enjoy a brief mission reminiscent of "Tank Destroys Everything" in which you are given control of a Scarab to destroy Forerunner defenses guarding a small entrance such that the Scarab only plays a short, but fun and destructive, role.

Im doubting covenant vehicles will return...Maybe..Maybe not...

You can't control scarabs :( Their riddled with worms (lekgolo) that control them.

Deal with it.

Actually, Johnson controlled a scarab in halo 2. So that statement is wrong.

Only partially true. The smaller variants of the Scarabs (utilized primarily for combat) were Lekgolo controlled. The larger, heavier Scarabs were manned by standard bipedal Covenant forces.

Precisely

Pearsonaly i would like a lot more operable vehicles to add a wider variety of scenarios that could happen:
more air vehicles = more air based levels
more land vehicles = wider variety of possible terrains and offensive and defensive tactics in the campaign and on matchmaking
addition of water vehicles would totaly open up a new battle expierience in halo.
What would be even better would be if the ever mocking pelican and phantom were both forgeable and operatable.

I don't know about UNSC vehicles, but I know for sure Covenant vehicles won't be making an appearance in Halo 4 since it's been confirmed the Covenant won't be in the game.

And where was that confirmed? As far as I know 343i hasn't been releasing anything info or news about Halo 4 and won't be until PAX, I think it was, or Halofest, not sure which. I know it's one of those two though. I don't think they'd just suddenly drop the Covenant like that, or the species that make it up at least, they've very much become a part of Halo's universe and evolving mythology, there would be no reason at all to just drop them like that...and I think it would probably annoy some fans (including me) because there really isn't a reason to exclude them.

well probably going to use very few human vehicles since were coming off half a frigate so mabye a warthog or 2 mabye a hornet but tank not likly so looks like most of the game is going to be walking it or forerunner vehicles
I call the forerunner tank

  • 06.22.2011 11:49 AM PDT

May I ask how a scarab would appear on an unknown forerunner world? :P.

It might as well be confirmed, at E3 Frankie said there isn't going to be a lot of purple in Halo 4.

Purple=Most Covenant Stuff.

Yes, but they could make a return in the Multiplayer.
