Assuming someone who's pro Halo 3 got control of the Halo series, what Halo 3 Campaign changes would you like to see in a remake?

---Boss-Battles---

The third tower Hunter battle which is like a miniboss battle seriously needs to be improved. It's way too easy to just go to the left and toss a frag to get rid of the Drones and it's way too easy to laser the Hunters and then bombard them with 1 fuel rod gun shot.

I'm thinking adding shield barriers to prevent Elite assistance (it can only be entered and exited by loyalist Covies) and to prevent you from finding cover behind the glass window, having 6-7 grenade happy (scripted) Grunts come down from the elevator after the Drones are killed, and having a Brute Chieftain (imagine 5 energy sword wielding Elites vs. the Brute Chieftain while you brawl with the Hunters) and 4 bodyguards come down after a certain amount of time regardless of who you kill.

I would also add in the gold Hunters from Halo 3: ODST, renamed Hunter Majors (from Halo CE, the darker blue ones), and give them more health and that scary fuel rod cannon.

As for Guilty Spark, what that battle needed was Sentinels. I'm thinking of adding Sentinel dispensers all over the control room to make things more interesting. And maybe adjust Spark's laser to make it explosive, which would definitely make it more harder to track him.

Also, Brute Chieftains should get a major upgrade.

here's my idea:

-Brute Chieftains have 2x health by default on Legendary
-they can be assassinated, but you have to go through an animation like in Halo: Reach to do it. If you just hit them in the back, it will be counted as a melee
-they should always be moving around
-their leaping melee attack should occur randomly rather than after activating their Invincibility
-they should be able to deflect rockets when they activate Invincibility

---Infinite-AI---

As for the infinite AI, I'm sure everyone has noticed that there are Stalker Forms that endlessly spawn on the last level. In the previous Halo games, there are infinite AI spawns. And on LNoS, two sides get infinite spawns. Halo 3 needed more of these, am I right?

Why would they remake Halo 3? It's not even that old.

1. I never said Bungie would have an incentive to do it. I'm saying that if someone (i.e. me) was going to make one.
2. It may not be that old, but it had a lot of potential. What we could have had > what we have now

Port it to PC, then i'll be happy.

Respawning enemies are the worst.

I'd like to see:

- real-time reflections, ambient occlusion

- more advanced AI (counters your tactics intelligently)

- nothing dumped out of memory (everything stays on the map, ie. weapons, debris, corpses.)

- meaningful destructible environments

YES! Destructible environments/cover would be awesome. I hope to see that in a Halo game some day. On a side note, I am no developer, but I think the reason they haven't let corpses stack is because it would cause the frame rate to fall drastically.

Unless Microsoft comes out with a super-Xbox, I don't think that will happen as cool as it would be xD.

Well my ideas were based on the assumption that this game would be made in another 5-10 years or on a PC where those memory intensive and CPU processes would be accomodated for.

Can you explain why? Do you dislike single faction infinite spawns, multi faction infinite respawns, or both?

Then we're going to need a revolution. Halo's AI is tactically limited to prerequisites and scripting. Halo: Reach's engine introduced some new things, but it still hasn't fixed this.

Yeah, that's one thing I disliked about LNoS. I can understand corpses being removed, but removing weapons if you aren't looking at them...

Like F.E.A.R?

Oh and I just remembered something. If there's one thing that displaces me from my immersion in Halo, it has to be not being able to see far away things except by zooming in. From a distance, I might see an explosion or shots fired, but I can't see anyone.
