I want to download a map onto my xbox 360. Can someone please explain the steps on downloading a map? This is my first time trying to download a map.

First you have to have your gamertag linked (which you already do). Next you need to find the map that you want. This will either be in a friends file share, or you can do a custom search for a map here.

Once you find the map you want, click the download button, and the next time you sign into your Xbox 360 on Halo Reach you will automatically download the map.

Go to the file browser, then find the map you want to download. When you've found the map you want, click the download button. Sign into Halo Reach, and the download will begin. It will notify you.

Can you please give me a step by step. I know how to download it, but when I turn my Xbox, it signs me in as a different account and it doesn't have an Xbox Live membership. Do I sign out of it and then sign into my account, or what should I do?

Sign out of that account, sign in to your own account that HAS an XBL membership, start up Reach, and the download should start once you get to the main menu.

I have been doing this and it isn't working. What am I doing wrong? I click the Download This Map, turned on my Xbox, signed out of my non-Xbox Live account and then signed on to my Xbox Live Gold Membership account, started up Halo: Reach, and pressed the Main Menu button, and it didn't download. Is there something wrong that I am doing? Can someone please throughly explain the steps to me?

If you have the 4gb Xbox S, it won't work. That's flash memory, not a HDD.

You need an Xbox Slim with the 250gb HDD or an older Xbox Elite with the 80gb HDD, etc.

Or when you queued it up for download, you sent it to the wrong GT.

Just some ideas for your problem.
