I'm pretty sure its against the law to open someone elses mail dude. Just because its delivered to you, does not make it yours.
When it says your name on the packing, and when it says your name on the receipt inside, it's not your fault. Bungie messed up, not the consumer. The recipient of the package is not held liable and it's up to Bungie how they wish to make up for the person who didn't get their package.

if you believe that, then you've never heard of pics or didn't happen. I'd love to believe them but i'm not a starry eyed teenager.

What are you talking about?

Bungie put the label on the package, not the person who got multiples. The person who got multiples is oblivious, for all he knows, he could have won some special promotion.

Bungie labeled it wrong, not the USPS or the person receiving it.

Also, what's with all the hostility? "Starry eyed teenager?" Dude, I'm 20, and I'm not just naively talking about this subject. Think about it, if you get a package, delivered in YOUR NAME, are you automatically supposed to assume, "Oh, it says my name, but it was probably intended for someone else because Bungie mislabeled it?"

I don't know what the law on this is like in the States, but in the UK you don't have a legal right to keep things that were sent to you in error.

And especially considering it's for charity you should probably fire Bungie an email about returning the stuff you received. I totally understand that it's their mistake and you shouldn't be inconvenienced by it, but y'know it's a bit of a dick-move if you keep a bag that someone else is waiting for.

Are you telling me you wouldn't keep an extra Mac that was accidentally shipped to you?

If you have some free time and don't mind, please check out my Youtube channel, and maybe subscribe? I'd appreciate it.

I hate humans.

Let's put this conversation in reverse. People who got an extra bag by accident now didn't even get ONE bag. People who didn't get their bags by accident got their bag and anothe by accident:

Accident: BUNGIE WERE IS MY BAG! YOU GUYS ARE MEAN FOR KEEPING A BAG THAT DOESN'T BELONG TO YOU! YOU MEAN. RETURN IT!

Lucky: Too bad, my name on box, my package. Not my fault. It's my bag now

I honestly wish anyone who got 1 by accident would do the right thing and TRY to email Bungie and return it... I know it won't happen... But just think... What if you got unlucky and YOUR bag was sent to someone else?

:/

Any new news on the Swag bags from June 30th, other than the fact Amazon sold too many. Just wondering if Bungie has canceled any or if they're still trying to find stuff to fill the bags with.

How true that is (UK law).

I ordered a game from err, GAME, and they accidently sent me another game also. So two games, one what I ordered, and another that was accidently put in.

I rang them, they gave me details to post it back, and surprisingly gave me 3 months Xbox Live membership, that was about 4 years ago.

Surely it's common sense to contact the seller when something like this happens? You get two when you only ordered one. Obviously by the limited nature of the item there isn't a "special" promotion or whatever, even if there was they would mention it in some form.

It's just not moral to think you should keep the second bag, even if it is their mistake.

What's there to be moral about? someone sent him a package he had no idea he was going to receive. yes, bungie -blam!- up by not checking their list twice before sending. But in no way is he being immoral if he decides to keep the "gifted" bag. With that said, I get junk mail all the time I never asked for.... Is it immoral for me to keep a piece of mail that was addressed to me even though I did not ask for it? It sucks someone may not get their bag (this could include me) but it's in no way "wrong" for him to keep it. bungie messed up... he benefits... oh well.

I just PM'ed Foman asking for clarification on the legality of this whole double order thing.

I still think we are entitled to keep whatever shows up at our door step that is in our name.

Just because they mess up doesn't mean you should benefit from it, what would the world be like if everyone kept things they got by mistake? It's obvious in this case if you bought one, you're only meant to get one.

Yes it's a minor thing, in ways but is it being a good citizen not informing them?

I remember one time, suppose this is slightly different, but a package meant for me got sent to a house not far away (same address basically, different postcode though of course (UK)).

So because the postman (yes I know in this case it was the postmans fault) brought it to the wrong house, they had the right to keep it? They did the right thing and informed us of this package for us that they got sent by mistake.

If these extra items were meant for someone else (which is seen by one by having a receipt for another person) but gets labelled wrong, doesn't mean you should keep it.

So if we placed an order with the gorilla bags, and now that order has disappeared from pending transactions but still says "Shipping Soon", will we still be getting a bag?

Hopefully, I remember hearing about Bungie cancelling orders for the Gorilla bags a while back.

I never actually heard BUNGIE say that, just rumors started by people who didn't get one. Do you have a link to a Bungie Employee saying that?

I must've said it from what I heard of some people getting their orders cancelled, no I do not have a Bungie employee saying that.

Hmm, I remember seeing the post from Urk about they're trying to get stuff before cancelling extra orders...maybe the ones cancelled were for multiple amounts in the order? i.e. ordered more than one.

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

All the stuff people got was very cool.

At this point, I think Myth LE and halo 3 Media Kit are extremely rare seeing as we have seen many scarab prints and what not from the pics.

When I grow up, I want to be just like goofenhour.

The rarest thing to come out so far was the boxed copy of Super Marathon still in it's wrapping. It went completely under everyone's radar. No one noticed because no one knows what it was. But it is offically Bungie's first console game, even the Apple Pippin was doomed from the beginning. I don't know the guys name off the top of my head, but it's definetly up there with the Myth:TFL Wood Box. Few thousand were sold in the US, most of the Super Marathon copies are probably in Japan though. They have weird obsessions with obscure console stuff, and rare console stuff at that. And anyone with a copy probably would hold onto it, because from what I hear, it's the best game for the Pippin.

Wood Box is still the rarest since only one confirmed box has been known to leave the studio.

Edit: The guys name was cHamil1. Here's the pic of Super Marathon

Has anyone gotten the Myth LE wooden box, or the H3 media kit yet?

I've been checking eBay, Amazon, and Google every day. No one has come out with proof that they have it at least. Some one may have a copy but not releasing any pics.

What's the halo 3 media kit?
It's a special version of games given to companies that review games, or executives, or just special companies. All that really is in there is a second disc with some info on Bungie and info on the Halo story line up till the point of Halo 3. It is still cool to have though, I don't think many people own a private copy.
