**FAQ**Q. What, THE -blam!-, just happened?
A. Okay, in a nutshell: Derp. I'll try to summarize what just happened as best I can. Bungie told us that the Swag Bags would be restocked sometime around 10:00 AM on 6/30. And they were restocked on 6/30, albeit 2 hours from the original release time (that could have been complicated by the amount of people refreshing the webstore which eventually caused it to crash). So when the bags were released, they were first released on some obscure Amazon page who's seller went by the name of Gorilla Printing. There was much speculation whether or not this seller was the real deal. When it was determined that it was the real deal by Halcylon (A Bungie contractor) it was already too late for some people as the window to snag a bag had passed. Now, at the time of writing, the store says they are still available, but countless people are claiming they can't get one. An interesting thing to note on the new posting on Amazon is the increase in weight of the bag from 3 to 4 pounds - it is speculated that the reason they did this is because they could not copy/paste their previous posting entirely so they had to change things up.
Q. When will the Swag Bags be restocked?
A. It is unknown when and IF the bags will be restocked.
Q. How much does a Swag Bag cost?
A. The Swag Bags cost $30 American dollars themselves without shipping. Shipping for American residents is $10.75 (Which would make each bag a total of $40.75). International residents can expect a much steeper price for shipping. So far, the cheapest price I've seen for shipping is to the UK which is about $42 American dollars (for a total of about $72.75) [Click Here For Bungie's Shipping Rates].
Q. Are there really only 777 Swag Bags?
A. Yes, it appears there were only 777 Swag Bags made, anybody else who claims otherwise is either lying or misinformed.
Q. WHY ALL TEH BAGS SOLD OUT!?!??
A. Because Bungie pulled them from stock so they can assess how many orders were placed and all that. Amazon and Bungie had a few technical difficulties, so they're not sure of how many orders got placed and all that.
Q. How many bags were sold in the first round?
A. The first round of bags sold, which took place on June 23 at approximately 9:45 AM PST reportedly sold about 350 bags within a time frame that lasted a little more than an hour. With the addition of 277 more bags into the stock supply, we can guess there are about 420 Bags remaining.
Q. Are there really only 100 posters of the Spartan Armory and On The Edge?
A. Yes, and as it stands, they're both already sold out. It is uncertain if the items were pulled (to be put back up later in the same manner as the Swag Bags or if it completely out of stock. For now, we're going to assume it's completely out of stock).
Q. Is there a limit to how many items we can buy?
A. Only on Swag Bags: One per person.
Q. What comes in the bag?
A. Judging by the Official Swag Bag picture the contents of your bag will contain a randomized assortment of some of the items you see in the picture. One of the more coveted items is an extremely limited edition of Myth. It is rumored that there is also a special edition Halo 3 Zune in some of the bags. Another coveted item is the rare Halo 3 Press Kit. Standard items include anything from T-Shirts, to artworks, to books.
EDIT: Check the pictures.
Q. So how is this going to go down?
A. Bungie runs their store through Amazon. So if you don't have an account yet, you better make one. Also, you should go ahead and link a debit/credit/gift card as well as your billing and shipping addresses. When these things become available, and if you're anything like me, you will want to be one of the first ones to get the Swag Bag and Poster before the Limited Edition ones run out. So link your info for a swifter checkout.
Q. Where is all my money going?
A. Every last dime of profit Bungie makes from this is Going to Charity. In this unique charity, Bungie donates iPads to children at local Children's hospitals.
*More to come soon*
The Bungie Store will also be updated periodically throughout our 20th Anniversary celebration, culminating on Bungie Day.Could this mean that they're going to introduce NEW items into the store, or just restock what they already have? Oh god, I don't think my Debit card can handle all of this.
Official word from BungieEDIT: The items that were removed from view in the store have since been put back up
What's this??? =D
I checked the store a few hours ago and I don't remember seeing this. Also, by "out-of-stock" I assume they mean they're still in stock, but not available for purchase just yet?
EDIT: [Okay, all this is now incredibly irrelevant because everything has since been restored and the store is open, but I'll keep it up for archiving purposes]Okay, so it looks like Bungie didn't want us to know what items were on sale just yet (which is why if you click on the link above no products will be listed).
Fortunately though, some of us were able to get screenshots and direct links to the individual products of some of the items before they were removed from the public eye.
