In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

Ken, that's one amazing collection. I would start collecting, but see I need money. Once I start I making money, I can start buying swag. Plus i'm only 14 so I still live with my paretns, that means I don't have to pay any bills which also means, more swag.

Epic plan is epic.

Some of that stuff I got for free.

Just by simply asking gamestop employees when they throw them out.

But, I am always looking for more and more swag.

My Gamestop says they'll let me know when they do that.

I have yet to be contacted once.

I was thinking, aren't people at Gamestop usually gamers? So, why wouldn't they just keep the posters for themselves?

Yeah they don't call very much about it.

Even when the manager of the store rights my name and phone number on the item.

Saturday and Sunday are the days gamestop's normally trade their promo content.

Keep asking to get stuff, but some things cost

Yes, many employees at gamestop will usually call dibs on a promo item before another gamer.

But at my gamestop I am know as the "Halo guy", so I normally get first crack at whatever halo stuff they got.

Oh, they do.

It's really irritating when they tell me that I'll be notified about it though.

What's that Scorpion toy? I've not seen one of them (probably because it's not sold outside of the US).

You do know that Amazon oversold and that Bungie said that they were sending out emails to employees just to donate personal stuff? Right?

Yes, I know this very, very well. However, the recent bags that are being shown on this thread are from June 30th (Basically, the day when Amazon oversold). With that in mind, go look at the albums again and try to tell me that is some exclusive and original Halo swag. "Personal stuff" can mean anywhere from a t-shirt - to opened action figures. Perhaps, there will be a one or two gracious Bungie staff that will throw in some type of holy grail of Halo swag, but don't hold your breath.

Don't miss interpret me. I'm not saying that we shouldn't expect anything good from now on, I'm just saying that so far I am underwhelmed with what people got recently (my opinion is also based on the opinions of others, and that seemed like the general consensus so far *shrugs*)

Yeah, it is an R/C toy.

I haven't opened it yet, I actually found it at Ross, you know that store with tons of cheap things.

It gets a ton of Halo toys.

I'm not going to lie, I have a hard time disagreeing with you. But the fact that I got one at all is enough to keep me happy. As long as I don't get a women's shirt, I'll be fine.

In all honesty I don't really want my bag shipped right now because it looks like the bags that were shipped aren't getting the best swag. I'm hoping that by the time Bungie ships mine, say in 5 days, that they will have found some more interesting swag.

I'm not going to lie - I am starting to become extremely underwhelmed by the contents of the current swag bags.

You can kick around the stone all you want, but I am failing to see how some of these last wave bags are worth $30, let alone $42.

The first wave bags were amazing and loaded with some amazing swag, but now all I'm seeing is pretty much a t-shirt that doesn't fit, memorabilia that most dedicated Halo fans would already own, and maybe a few copies of concept art that are wrinkled.

I know I sound 'ungrateful' and 'selfish' or whatever you guys may come up with, but I'm shifting from anticipating my swag bag to worrying that I'll get stuff that I already own. At least I have that MC print to look forward to if all goes different than I imagined...

Wrong mindset. You're making a $42 donation to charity. You should already feel good at that point. Then, Bungie decides to send you swag for free. Pretty sweet deal in my eyes.

Each swag bag has atleast 1-2 super cool things in them and is full of other cool stuff.

You will always get something cool.

I'm curious as to which will ship first. My MC Concept print or my swag bags. I just hope the bags don't get canceled at this point.

Cool I've seen remote controlled mongeese, warthogs, and hornets, but i've never seen a scorpion.

Swag bags won't be canceled for another week, and MC will probably ship sooner because they are printed and not hand made or anything. Plus the MC prints weren't oversold.

I think you have it the wrong way around.
Bungie offers a great deal on a random assortment of swag. They do this in order to entice more people into buying stuff in which they turn around and give the money to charity. No matter which way you look at it, you are buying a item you want and then bungie gives the money to charity. You are not making a direct donation to charity.

edit: it's only the profits that get donated to charity. the costs of printing the posters, making bags, etc.. comes directly out of the profits that will be donated to charity.

They put kid friendly games and programs on them for kids who are in children hospitals. Its to get their minds off why they are in there.

Well i'm wondering if it would be more useful to put money towards getting a cure or making them happy while they're there.

There's a lot of foundations trying to find a cure, it's best they donate towards a guaranteed cause rather than an "if" cause. Happiness goes a long way on the road to recovery.

ipads are interactive and easy to use and include some great kids games. I personally think it is great for them to get ipads, they deserve so much more.
