On the subject of posters and such, I work at Gamestop in the San Antonio area.
If y'all ever want to be hooked up with posters or standees, I'm always happy to hook you up. Hell, I try to give them away to customers I safely assume to be interested rather than throw them away.
True, we get first dibs, which is why I got the Assassin's creed 2 and MW2 standees and the HALO Reach poster in my room, and I'm getting some of the LOZ stuff as well, and of course when the HALO:CE Anniversary edition and BF3 come out I'll be calling some of that (esp. the standee of the badass Marine Recon) but we also limit ourselves to try to give our customers a chance.
So if your hankerin' for some signage for a certain game, and your in the area, look me up.
Dang, I wished you worked at my local gamestops. The people who work here don't give a -blam- about customers.
Well, that depends:
Are you one of those -blam!- parents who let there kids run around and tear up my store that I just worked on getting in good order and don't pick up after them, or use us as a makeshift babysitter, dropping your kids off at our store while you go do the rest of your shopping?
Are you one of those asses who come in to the store for an hour only to play the demos over and over again and then leave without buying anything or saying a word to us, even 'hi', and more often than not leaving your damn bottles and cups for us to pick up after you?
Then no I don't give a s*** about you; frankly, if I could, I'd boot your butt to the curb and/or direct you to a library and/or charge a sitting fee.
Or are you someone genuinely there to shop or even shoot the breeze about game stuff; you know, someone supposed to be there?
I don't hate my customers, even some of the dimmer ones, as long as they're actually customers, and aren't overly lazy (when some people ask do you have XXX, a real simple game that's right there, I have to restrain myself from asking "well, did you look?!"). I'm always happy to help, provided the person I'm helping is making a similar effort to make it work.
Still no print, no Bungie Shirt...
