Exactly...

Listen, I have been on eBay for 3 years now. I am a top rated seller and am a professional eBayest.

Now for all of you eBay noobs out there, there is something called "eBay Buyer Protection" and what that means is... If you receive a item that was not in the condition it was said to be in or etc. Then you file a claim, and get your money back. 98% of the time the buyer gets their money back. You only keep the item in rare instances. So yep.....

Wrong! It doesnt matter how you list it. Ask someone who is familiar with Ebay, they will tell you the same thing. The buyer wins 99% of all claims, and sometimes gets the item and the money. I have a movie in front of me that i filed a claim on and ebay gave me a refund and i still am waiting for the seller to give me a return address, they say "case closed, no changes can be made" so I would be very very careful what you sell on ebay!

it says no returns where are you getting this "i can buy this and file a claim and keep my items" sort of attitude?

Exactly, when you buy/sell on Ebay you are under oath and contract to abide by the description/seller policies. If you think you can just open a claim anyways, that's dishonest.

Yes, I know about that. If the description is flatout wrong, and you believe the seller is trying to scam you Ebay will be with you %100 of the way. But, sometimes the buyer wants to scam the seller out of his money. I've been through this before, and I've won all of my claims.

You just have to know the system.

my point is... its a grab bag of random items. the seller isnt going to take things out of it.. or put crap in..

someone here said "what if he just sells you the bag itself? dont trust ebay"

you best be joking...

the seller sold his bag.. this has nothing to do with bungie or charity anymore. its a personal item now.

the only reason you people are getting mad is because hes turning a profit on a hot item not many of you had the chance to buy.

but thats life. this sort of thing happens all the time.

im willing to bet that those bags are all wave 1 bags.

there are about 95 maybe 100 bags in this thread that are accounted for.

that leaves over 700 bag left unaccounted for, unreceived, unclaimed.

those bags can contain anything.

and the buyers and sellers can lurk in this thread or they may not.

but dont tell me about taking advantage of the ebay systems... because just as quickly as you are to file claims... the sellers are just as quickly to follow protocol and procedure.

Ebay is nothing like craigslist. respectable people buy from respected sellers. enough said.

theres no need to report an ebay sell. i forgot who it was.. but someone made a thread trying to rally people to report the sale of the swag bag on ebay as being against policy. then a forum ninja locked the thread..

would you people quit being so selfish and just drop it? bungie said that whatever people do with their bags is their own personal business.

People are people. Regardless of the site you can be scammed anywhere. The reason I believe this is a scam is the seller most likely looked in the bag. I'm not saying he/she took anything out, but if there was anything truly valuable in it, it wouldn't be getting sold. The main reason I think people were excited about buying the bags when Bungie was selling them is you had a shot at getting something cool...really cool, with these people selling the bags that is eliminated. As unlikely as it is to get something like concept art in a bag directly from Bungie it's a 0% chance on ebay. If you honestly believe those sellers haven't looked in the bags you're way too gullible.

Finally got pictures up of my bag, and a few of the sketches.
Had to turn off the flash as they're a bit faint on the paper.
http://imgur.com/a/INnY1

My bag says it's number 35, but I don't think that means anything.

Just opened the shirt, front is Halo 2, back says this:
"Bungie Fan Fest 2003" and "Ninjas On Fire" (with an illustration of such)
Only problem is it's XL and I usually wear medium to large... let's see how much I can shrink this thing.

Also, for those of you not getting signature cards, make sure you thoroughly check the plastic shipping wrap that they're in, mine managed to hide in the folded over portion and I almost missed it.

If you look at the top bidder, it's the same person for all but 1 a guy named 1***2. I know eBay masks seller names but tr same name with (2) feedback? Either this guy has a lot of money and really wants a bag or he's crouch up prices and will default on purchases...

I think everything ordered during 20th Anniversary is supposed to come with one, although that doesn't necessarily mean that they all do. There's a fair number of people in here that didn't get one with their bag.

I think this means there's possibly still a Le myth box??

Maybe, and maybe it means I've got it ;D Being in the UK it takes like 2 weeks to deliver, "yet to come".....doubt it though D:

To people about ebay, I ordered a Hi8 camcorder (ours is broken, and only got the "standard"8 or whatever it is, which is analogue, whereas this is digital). £120 I bought it for, ~$200.

It arrived, didn't work. Listing said buyer accepted no returns, however I opened a complaint as it wasn't as described. It was down as fully working, this wouldn't even playback any tapes or record. I was told to return the item, I returned it and I know he received it as he signed for it, however he claimed he didn't receive it.

I sent it the wrong type though, I know for certain he got it. Maybe this was wrong of me, but being 16, legally I shouldn't be on ebay. I sent a rock, went to the same house, same signature, he was moaning at me saying he never received it. I left a note with ebay that the signatures were exactly the same, they sided with me. Rightfully so too.

Although, I suppose that is slightly different to what was being discussed about the swag bag, but this guy said no returns but it wasn't as described, didn't work at all.

And you know what? About a week later I saw the exact same camera, listing up for sale, same description, 2 tapes included, except something about bidding seriously, already been scammed. He sent a tape with it which had family holidays on -_- Why he would've included that I do not know.

Only bad luck I've had on ebay. Closed my account and paypal, and use another one. Want to put it behind me.
