Whenever I did it in the past I just walked to the counter and was like, 'Ya, I have a package to pick up'
Generally they leave a notice in the mailbox if they don't walk it to the door. (Our guy is just -blam!- lazy and doens't like going up our driveway so he sticks the note in the mailbox saying we weren't here and that we'd have to pick up at the post office)

My bag should be here within the week; But knowing how the guy who delivers the mail is; He won't drive up my driveway, and I doubt it'll fit in our mailbox.
Which means a trip to the post office...
Then a 10 minute drive back home without trying to open it via transit.
Already had to do that, >.>
Was worth the wait thoughStitch, when you went to the Post Office, where exactly did you go and what did you tell them?In the residential area I live each house has a mailbox. When there is a package that needs to be delivered, the mailman usually firsts walks the street to deliver the regular mail, then he gets back in his truck and drives in front of each house that got a package and delivers it that way. This is how I've gotten my items so far.
Thats normally how they do it here too
I just went to the person at the counter at our post office, told them that the tracking on my package said it had been missent, and was wondering if they could tell me anymore about it (online tracking had no details)
She took my tracking number, looked it up, and realized it was at the post office ready to go out later that day
The post office said they can do a more detailed tracking than what online shows
