See, I wouldn't have a problem with that; why not make an alternate list?

Mine just changed to shipping soon, I'm rather pleased now. Here's to getting something -blam!- awesome!

  • 06.30.2011 1:18 PM PDT

I think people are forgetting that this was all for charity...

I feel for those who weren't able to get a bag, but look on the bright side: over 700 bags are going to be sold if they haven't been already. At $30.00 a pop (not counting shipping into it, obviously).

That's $21,000.00 for charity. That's freaking amazing, and just be happy that you took part in the whole process.

Oh yeah, since somebody does not believe what YOU believe; that makes us vapid...
I cannot grasp that what you call "Something happened to nothing, and that nothing became something, and it was smaller than than a period."

2000th post.

IMO Bungie went far and above what they should have done in notifying when the swag bags would be available. If the complainers put this much effort into getting one from the first batch you could have got 1,2, hell even 25 bags. I wish woot would give me a time that they are gonna throw up their BOC (Hell even a 18 hour window would be great).

Case and point: don't worry about it. Girls start getting boobies pretty soon, and then you'll have plenty of other things to think about. Being an Inheritor is not a life goal.

Take it to PM's you two.

I have to agree with Dropship Dude, I'm willing to bet that the majority of people that bought swag bags are only Bungie fans through Halo 3 or Reach. I've been a Bungie fan since '02 after playing my first Halo game, I didn't get a swag bag, mostly because I canceled my order after thinking I was going to have my info stolen from Gorilla Print blah blah.

By sharp and flame; a friend of a friend.

Maybe they knew if they announced a new seller was gonnna sell them, then we would F5 them to death as well...
Sure I'm a little biased that I was willing to risk my credit cards security, but it worked out. Coming from someone who isn't ragin (You guys have every right to, though) I guess it really was the only way Bungie could have done it.

I mean the new seller was only up a couple minutes before me and a couple other people found them. We been searching like crazy, all day.

Sorry to everyone who didn't get one. Keep trying, orders may be rejected or cancelled. Just spam that One-Click buy button.
Congrats to everyone who did get one. YAY! ^_^

  • 06.30.2011 1:19 PM PDT

So why don't they just mark them as sold out? That is the bigger question.

I don't think this was handled too well, and I really hope my order is legit. Still no mail as usual. I'll just close those pages now, play something and look again tomorrow. Nothing else to do really. I heard only like 350 went away in the first batch so I guess there will be at least one more sale. Maybe a surprise one or something, maybe on 7.7., who knows. But for now it's over and people should try to relax and do something else me thinks.

People are angry they didn't get to give anything for charity. Bungie, make more bags. Think of the children.

You know at least 80% of the people on here are under 20 and are on summer break now? That doesn't make us no lives. You really need to grow up, just because you have been playing Bungie games since you were 8 does not entitle you to a bag.

Personally I discovered Halo CE, then I really got into Halo with Halo 3 and now I play all the games so all I have to say to you is: You disgust me by thinking your superior to everyone else who hasn't played as long as you.[/quote]I'm aware that most people here are under 20 and on break. I'm ALSO under 20 and on summer break, but I have a thing called a job, which means I can't sit and F5 all day long. As with last time the bags were stocked, I missed out because I was cooking dinner for myself and my brother while my parents are away.

I am not trying to make it out that I am superior to anyone, but I am pointing out that I have been a fan for far longer than most of the people here, and I feel that it is plain wrong that people like me, and people who have been fans for longer than me, are missing out because of post-Halo-3-era 'fans'. I'm not entitled to a bag, no, but I can tell you I'd appreciate the contents of the bag a -blam!-load more than any of the Halo-3-era 'fans'. I disgust you? Sure buddy. Keep telling yourself that you're more disgusted at me and not the F5ers living in their basements. I totally believe you.

Yeah a lot of us have jobs too. I'm currently on 2 hours of sleep and have to be at work in 2 in half hours.
Funny how you say F5ers living in their basements. Do you not live with your parents and brother? We're you not on here trying to get a Bag O'Swag?
You have no idea how long how many of the 777 people are Halo 3 era or not. Stop whining about it.

I love how nobody mentions that we raised $23,000 for charity in *minutes*.

edit: the ninjas mentioned it before me!

Everyone should try and relax. Yes, it is a shame that something bad befell the bag 'o swag sales but, being that it was a limited item with high demand, people were bound to be unlucky. Could have it been handled better? I'm not one to say. The only thing I do know is that this company is amazing about doing things for their fans.

So, the best thing to remember now is that Bungie is a company hell bent on satisfying their community(not to mention that all of the proceeds are going to charity). And even though the bags o' swag may be gone, it doesn't mean that more fun things aren't on the way.

Following today's announcement of aerospace, we as a community still have more inbound including a ViDoc and a Bungie Vs. The World matchmaking celebration. And, who knows, maybe something else is in the pipeline.

I understand how upset some of you are and even why some of you are disappointed/disgruntled, but I urge you to at least try and reconcile with the knowledge that other cool things are coming up (other cool thing are for sale too(with perhaps more in the works?)!) and that Bungie hasn't forgotten their fans. In fact, these few weeks are a celebration for the fans.

*Remember I am NOT an employee and therefore I do not speak on Bungie's behalf. I am a community member just like everyone else.

Who cares about the charity? What's more important is the bags.

But they can still give to the charity. Purchase some t-shirts, posters, whatever. That all goes to the charity as well.

People ordering more than 1, orders getting cancelled, might be coming in waves (though the bulk of it has already come)

Wow. That's all I have to say.

Oh, and I did get a bag, genius. I don't know where you pulled that retardedness from either.

Cya.

Cya Sweety...you're the one that couldn't be reasoned with. Also sweet cheeks I can't run off of an hour of sleep so if I have said or pulled anything I'm sorry. I re-read...I'm dyslexic and have a hard time sometimes especially when I've been up for 24+hrs.

Good Day, sir.

If bungie really cares about their fans, where are they? Why have they not said anything?

  • 06.30.2011 1:22 PM PDT

Sounds like there might be even more cool stuff on sale, looking forward to it. My money just might run low, hope I can keep up!
