Usually being charitable means receiving nothing in return. Then I this scenario, the question arises, are you truly being charitable or are you purchasing something you want while pretending to be charitable?
I don't have your brain, but I don't like to get when I give. If I wanted to feel really good about chairty, I would have purchased the iPads myself, visited the children myself, gotten to know them and so on. Honestly, it seems Bungie outlined their intention as such: "We got some nice commemorative swag for you guys, and guess what? The bread on the butter is that all profits don't go to our pockets, but rather charity."
I understand your point, but please don't try to make me look like some selfish bad guy.
You aren't being selfish. We just can't forget that everything is for charity. I wonder if bungie will ever take pics/videos of the kids. I'd like to see their reaction,and if they're happy then i'll feel like I donated to a good cause.
