Hey guys, Sorry I'm a bit new to this and I'm not sure if this subject has already been posted about so I'm just going to try.

I've played Halo since its been out and I've become one of the best players in my group of friends, but I was hoping that when Halo 2 came out I could play some online with other people around the country and elsewhere. However, before I do that I'd like to hone my skills. I'm not one of those snipers who likes to camp beside/behind vehicles for extended periods of time. I'm more of the type who grabs the rifle and sneaks his way to the enemy base remaining almost completely mobile, stopping only to take vital shots to remove future problems. I'd just like to hear about what kind of sniping strategies you guys like to use, if they work, and try to explain how it works.

Thanks for your time

bah

Keep doing what you're doing and become feared as "that crazy guy who keeps killing me from 10 different angles." The method of sniping you have chosen is one of, if not the most, effective ways of controlling the field. Your method works best with a team, as your kind of sniping leaves the middle of the field open for them. Keep to the shadows on the edges of the map, but don't be afraid of the middle of Blood Gulch as the hills offer great cover and people don't expect a sniper to be in the middle of the field.

I snipe the exact same way.

i usually run arround the sides of medium to long range maps only stopping to well.. dispatch opponants and cause havoc. on another note a good practice to "hone oyur skills", legendary, Thuth and reconsiliation, it is good for practicing sniping on the run without getting shot.
