Over-hyped? Killzone. It will be a good game, but not that good.

It's odd that you would bring up the IGN Review score for Fable. As I recall, it was 9.3. Halo got a 9.7 from IGN.

Yeah, man, simple arrogance really. 6 years old here man. That game broke a hell of a lot of ground when it came out... I dont believe any previous game had encouraged shooting in the head, no other had skeletal animation... the wicked looking and sounding but useless Mp5... what are you thinking? That game was easily, easily game of 1998 man. Not 2004 though, I will say that much. But that much means nothing.

Oh, yeah, I'm a card-carrying six year old. Try, adult in less than a month. And nothing can change the fact that Half-Life blows (I'd rather play the independently developed mod Counter Strike, which is actually fun). Oh, and in Goldeneye for N64 (1997), one shot to the head killed, while it would take multiple body shots. It also had better graphics, AI, gameplay, and NO, I repeat, NO senseless crate-pushing.

He said the game was 6 years old, not YOU were six years old

Half-Life was one hell of a game when it first came out and it still is. They're right; Surface Tension is one of the best segments of any game, ever. Give Half-Life a little more time - you'll know you've found the Source of all First-Person-Shootage when you find yourself fighting twenty soldiers and a tank over an irrigation pipe. And just as you're crawling out of the sewer the music starts to pick up. That is probably my favorite part in Half-Life.

See, folks who can't appreciate the game due to the PS2 version or very low mental capacity are the very console noobs that PC gamers despise - you like your games simple and you're giving the publishers the right to keep pumping out total crap. Maybe not you individually (for some reason you think Half-Life is overly simple), but many people do. Counter-Strike players, for one... And I dare say Halo players. Man, it's a whole different animal from when it was announced. I would've liked some advanced options, you know, because you're supposed to be a friggin' commanding Master Chief in mankind's most advanced armor!

I even think that even Halo 2 is overhyped. One of the reasons that Halo Combat Evolved was so great is that it came out of nowhere, most halo fans wern't waiting for the game to come out, they just played it at a friends house or something and started to like it. Now the media has too much control over our minds. Whe someone says M&M do you think rapper or candy? They tell us whats good and whats not these days.

I'll be on my own side.

They may tell us, but they can't make up our minds. For example, I hate Morrowind, Splinter Cell, and MGS.
