I cant be sure of the age of the buyers, but the people who bought for themselves are not the issue. And for the record, just because your of adult age, doesn't mean you are one.

I don't even know what you're mad about.

People bought items from the store and are giving money to charity?

One thing that no-one has raised so far as I've seen:

There was never any indication that the bags would be so limited. I didn't know until the images in Komark's thread that there was only 500 and I read every bit of chatter that comes out of Bungie.

Perhaps Bungie should have made it clear just how limited these were going to be?

EDIT: Not that we should turn on Bungie, they're the best. <3

I am not mad....or maybe I am. Im the first to admit that i've been frustrated all day. Maybe Im mostly mad that Im mad. Mad over swag.
I do however, get upset when people or greedy. THEN on top of that, justify it. No finger pointing truly. It's been the chatter all day. I know that a lot of it is just B.S. but it touches a nerve. I dream of this world where people have empathy for others...but your right, its not true. I would like to believe that people are out there thinking about all the charity they are contributing to, but the fact is that the extreme actions, by "some people", were that of gluttony. Nothing more. "IM NOT FAT IM BIG BONED!" yes yes...we know.

Going to bed.

The ones you should be mad at are the ones that bought like 5 for the sole purpose of keeping one and selling the rest on EBay for a considerable price.

I, on the other hand, bought 4. One bag for a friend who couldn't buy it at the time, and 3 for me (although the only real reason I bought the 3rd one was because I have another friend who also couldn't get to one at the moment, and he is a big Halo fan so I thought he might be interested) I might just end up keeping 2 for myself.

Or..... when the bags go up again I may just buy another one so I can keep 3. And no, I'm not reselling them, they're for me because I freaking love bungie.

Oh, I also bought 3 posters.

6/21/2011?

I would agree with the O.P. It would have been nice to buy one of the Bag O' Swag when I got off of work. I not going to lie though, I was going to buy three for myself, but now knowing how popular this item is, it would have been selfish off me to buy three for myself.

I called in sick to work today (I don't care, I'm quitting soon anyways) and I pulled an all-nighter. I mashed the F5 for a good 5 hours.
I can't call in sick to work all willy-nilly. I can't pull all nighters when i have work the next day.

It must be awesome to lack responsibilities.

Seriously. I'd like to be able to sit at home, but I give a damn about my job and I'm not going to call out so I can buy a swag bag. That being said, I'd like to have an opportunity to do so. Shame we can't all piss away things that matter, eh?

This. It seems Graduation Practice is way more important then Bungie. Go figure?

Edit: They should release two sets of the swag bag. One half in the morning, the other right as they are about to close up shop and leave the office. So people who get home later have time to hop on the computer. Releasing all at once seemed to be the issue, though I do agree they should limit it one per person.

Achronos: And what's this about a "design team" I've been hearing? Apparently stosh is so awesome he's now considered a "team".

I think you may be forgetting that not everyone has that sort of time to be on a computer and if they do it won't necessarily be at the time that they went on sale.

Me and about 100 other Bnetters then spent the next 5 or 6 hours on the store page hitting F5.

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

Exactly, you had to be lucky. There was a ton of competition, certainly WAY MORE than 500 people wanted a bag.

Especially if you need the hours, and you have to pay for something like college...which costs a lot more then a Bag O' Swag.

Well I don't think people who are at school or work would be buying these. Doesn't really leave a lot of choices for who would be buying them.

Do you think PM's were made for a reason?

But to answer your question I highly doubt they will be posting soon, that is 500 hundred that have to get shipped around the world.

I don't understand what PMs have to do with my question.

I was talking to a fellow Bag O' Swag buyer on his opinions.

I was hoping Bungie would start shipping today.

Seems like that question would be more suited to a PM. Considering it is off-topic.

Uh, not really, we are talking about swag bags.

I don't why you seem to be getting upset about this.

Well the thread is about "Please limit swag bags to 1 per person! " not when they will be shipped.

However I will do something mature here and say that I am done arguing here, my point has been made by not only me but others.

Good day to you sir.

I'm in both. I called in sick today so I could swag, I only would have gotten about $45 working that day anyway. Plus the manager likes me because I'm never late and I never miss (except for yesterday). And it's not a job I particularly care about, I'm quitting in one month.

As far as school goes, well, it's summer right now. UTEP only charges me $3,000 a semester and financial aid mostly covered the tuition, and I've already paid the difference and I've been working for a while.

All in all, that translates to money in the bank, free time, and 4 swag bags.

@Spartain: Amazon says it'll ship on July 1st or 5th or something. IDK if that's final.

  • 06.24.2011 5:31 AM PDT

Omar it doesn't ship till bungie day I checked.
