Subject: Halo 4 :The Fight was Finished

Getting stuck in boulders
Accidently sticking allies
Using the Rocket for Spring cleaning

Total Boss

Okay, I need an answer.

Why continue with this?

The Covenant was beat and everything returned to normal. Master Chief finished the fight and chewed bubble gum all over the bad guys and, yet, its still not over. I see no point in continuing a story under the "Halo" name when the story was over. Microsoft is milking Halo, yeah and its very delicious milk, but they just used the name to attract the players who just entered the Halo series.

So explain to me. What is Master Cheif going to fight this time? If anything, this looks a lot like Marathon.

Yes, there're too many numbers in my name.

I agree with you in the sense that the series should've stoped at the end of Halo 3. I mean, how can could you beat that last level?

But the problem was that Master and Cortana are still in space, and everybody thinks they're dead.

It's sad to see that the trailer didn't get as much of a reaction as the Halo 3 trailer back in 2006.

Because we all know it is going to suck. Now that Bungie has left, the age of Halo is circling in the drain, and everybody knows it.

Ha, you should try broadening your horizons. Bungie isn't the only talented developer in the world.

I'm 23, I have a house, dog, girlfriend, job and I have no interest in any fanboyism so if you're thinking about sending me a childish PM, don't be surprised when I don't call back.

That fight was finished, This fight is just getting started.

The story was left open by bungie. 343 haven't come in and broke halo.

The ending to H3 left people with so many questions that it HAD to be carried on and i think at the end of this trilogy MC will die in an awesome cutscene just like noble 6 did.

Will be cool to find out who's crazy rambling conspiracy theories were right about the planet in the H3 ending.

I honestly dont know why they called it halo 4. Its so cliche and i dont see what its gonna have to do with the events of the first 3 games. Should have subtitled it instead like Halo: The Forerunner or whatever.

Yeah, It would be hilarious if Halo turns into the Final Fantasy of First Person Shooters

Ehhh,i won't even explain that as i see you don't know much about the Halo lore if you think the Covenant is the only thing out there.

He is going to fight stormtroopers and decepticons on Death Star and Unicron
(sarcasm)

Gamer, modder and immature person

Somehow I'm guessing the bits of the Halo Legends Orgins 2 shot might be related.

Cheif finding some secret that should of been kept secret
Preventing War
Exploring the past

etc

That or the last bit of Orgins was just to blabber on from a insane ai

Actually...
No.

A lot of people have faith in Frankie and the team at 343i.

Subtitles provide hints at what's to come. This way's better.

Like every other game out there, there's always one more species left to fight.

The main plot of Halo is not the fight with the covenant.

Brains beats brawn get used to it

Fear the Red Comet

Variety is the spice of life.
Long live games.
Death to all fanboys.

Hopefully it doesn't turn out like the Star Wars universe... As compelling as the games and books are over there, anyone should be able to tell that the basic plot lines for their major expanded universe story arcs that take place before the film saga and afterwards are essentially just rehashes of the movies' plot progression.

  • 06.24.2011 4:50 AM PDT

don't understand this sort of stuff, how come games always get slated before their launch? who knows what Halo 4 is going to be like, it could very well be the best of the bunch...?

and the story finished? who gave the OP the right to decide that? the story is finished when the creators say it is finished, not a second before and not a second after, Halo 3 was left intentionally open at the end to continue the saga, who cares if the enemy isn't the Covenant, who cares is the Flood (who were terrible to be honest!) aren't an enemy?

Halo is a rich, deep and ever evolving story that could go on for many many more years, both games and novels, so much rich history and mythology surrounding the games, there is the story of the Forerunners, what happens to the Sangheili, the remains of the Covenant, the Flood and so on. its nowhere even close to finished!

Never say you're bored. Never say you're satisfied with the world. Never stop doubting or questioning things. Always wonder. Always think. But always take time to drop your guard, you don't have to be smart all the time.

No, I think it's just getting started

Chief dealt with a warp up,covies and innies.

It's time for the ancients role

Many gave their lives so that we could live on. I intend to honor them by remembering them. Remember Cyborg. Remember John. Remember Noble.

No need, it is perfectly fine as it is. 343 could come up with something different, they do have fantasy after all and they are using it...

I'm sorry sir, but I have to disagree. It didn't have to be continued. The open ending was a good solution to "killing off Chief". Think about it: Chief and Cortana are flying in space, lost, they might land on a planet and kick ass.
But well not knowing what happened to him and being able to guess... well that's awesome, right?

I hope deep down my heart that 343 will subtitle it anyhow. Halo 4,5,6 sounds scary. And it's not even Halo 7! And with Reach and ODST it will be 8 games! I swear to God, if they plan on really naming it Halo 4 - they should make a tetralogy instead!

But the idea of Halo 4 being a bit like Marathon... mmmmmmmm
