Holy Hell! DIdnt you read my previous posts? I have studied the the lore, something big IS going to happen. I am just stating that they should do something to the game to change up the pace, Halo CE was a great shooter when it first came out, Halo 2 simply added dual-wielding but they did change up the story by playing as the Arbiter, Halo 3 didnt do anything revolutionary, ODST was the most expansive by adding a new health system, playing as a slighly weakend character, new weapons, new angle of story telling. Reach didnt do anything, except drive the The Fall of Reach narrative, which had a better story, to the ground. But people saying stuff like "But Medicand Bias has plans for the Chief and stuff" rubs me the wong way because you actually expect me to believe an AI construct purposefully allowed the [i] Forward unto Dawn [i] to be split during the jump so he could cut Cheif off of any contact or help just because of a "greater purpose"? Thats sound a bit too crazy. They just need to attack another angle. And I swear if they bring back the Flood, or make a Super Flood, it will ruin all the sacrifice and death of the first three Halos.
The Flood shall return, there is no single doubt. The sacrifises of the trilogy?Well don't forget that the flood were once defeated by the Humans but they returned, then the 4runners wiped them out with the rings, but they survived again.
They will appear in Halo 4,i would bet my money on it.
How does it sounds crazy?Read the last terminal,Mendicant Bias confirms it.I hope you aren't thinking we are pulling that out of our ass.
Halo 4 story will be new
Or consider this:
What if the sacrifices in the original trilogy were not in vain? What if their sacrifices were to serve a greater purpose? Medicant Bias, and the thread entitled "Synchrons, 117 and the fate of reality" enforces the possibility, that the fate of the human race, the Covenant races and even the entire universe is coming to a close.
What if, the sacrifices in the trilogy, all of the trillions who died, did so so the final events, this last sequel trilogy, could happen?
"There are points in life where everything changes, and changes in a big way. The old sophistic texts refer to these points as synchrons. Synchrons supposedly tie great personalities and forces together. You can't predict or avoid them. Only rarely can you feel them. They are like knots creeping toward your string of time. Ultimately, they tie you to the great currents of the universe-bind you a common fate " - Bornstellar Makes Eternal Lasting
When dealing with such a fragile thing as time, as fate, as Born here says, the death of an insect in one country could, somewhere down the road, lead to drastic events.
The deaths of trillions of people, of personalities, in a single war....
Why would Greg Bear introduce these "Synchrons" and then never again speak of them in the book? We know 343i had worked closely with the author. Whose to say they didn't ask him to insert some tid-bits here and there that related to Halo 4?
Something that you learn while learning about Halo is that all concepts, all ideas introduced, no matter how brief, need to be looked at more closely. Synchrons were introduced for a reason.
As was the concept that "the universe lives, but not as we do."
So yes, Medicant Bias split the ship in half, and yes he did it to serve a higher purpose. But the sacrifices in the H/C war were not in vain.
The H/C war was just the beginning.
Like Augustus once said: Cortana said, "This, is the way the world ends."
But the world's end didn't happen in Halo 3. What if Halo 3 wasn't the end?
What if it was just the beginning of the end?
