Subject: How many Swag Bags did you buy?

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

I got one. I really wanted two, but when one bag is $30, and shipping is $10... I don't really have a lot of cash to be flaunting it around right now. I still want that Myth/Pathways/Marathon poster, but that thing is $70.

Oh, if only money grew on trees!

Yup.. I hope to get one but I expect the shipping from the US to the UK will be around £10 - £20! ($18 - $30)..
bag + shipping is 45 for UK

Holy Smokes.. really? It better be worth it!

One.

My son's first birthday is coming up. I would rather spend money on him.

Reminds me of the episode in the Simpsons where Homer bought Marge a bowling ball for her birthday, did you get them to write 'True Underdog' on the bag? loljokes

I don't want one. I typically don't spend money on a product unless I know what it is... and sometimes, not even then

I was the 2nd to last person to get kicked off Halo 2, see the thread Here

Damn. I went camping for 2 weeks and missed so much. Swag bags huh? Sounds inappropriate.

One.
I quit smoking last month and this is the first month where I have extra money from it. This was a nice reward to myself for quitting after 15+ years. Also, it went to help the kiddies so I had to get at least one. I'm not gonna be selfish.

Props on quitting your slow suicide! Swag bag is definitely a good celebratory splurge.

Arrogant hyperbolic exclamations of woe? Seems like a normal day for Halo/Bungie.net.

I'll single-handedley kill everyone who bought more than 1 for a single person alone.

Way to prioritize.... it would be a dick move to blow your money on a swag bag and give your son socks

You could have bought a swag bag and given him stuff from it. No?

I bought 4, perhaps that makes me greedy.. at least they're all for myself though. I will keep and cherish all of this stuff (I actually have a Halo room in my house so this will be going to a loving home, don't worry about that).

Some people bought multiples so they could profiteer from them on ebay, which considering this is supposed to be about raising money for charity is pretty -blam!- behaviour.

People should remember this is for charity, I've paid $140 to the Bungie Foundation through these bags and a shirt. If a girl guide comes to my house selling cookies and I buy them all, does that mean I've helped the charity or deprived the people down the street of cookies?

Very interesting way of putting it.
I think the only thing we can blame it on is bad luck for a lot of people.

I'd like to know what the hell they were thinking by not limiting them 1 per customer, it just seems very stupid of them.

Well, they can't enforce it and it is easy to get around it.
