I know that my processor has it, it just needs to be turned on. How do I do this?

If I go to the device manager and check on my processor, it would show 2 CPUs if it was on. Mine only shows 1

I don't think it can be enabled. That seems like something that would have to start from the boot sector.

--Perhaps it only hyperthreads if you've maxed out the processor?

I dunno. But I REALLY need it to be on, because the problems caused without it on have gotten so bad I can't play Halo PC anymore ((online))

Why would you need hyperthreading to play online?

Windows has so many programs running in the background that it needs Hyperthreading to keep up with them. Without it, it takes intervuls of Lag to do so. If you lag badly enough online, it boots you off the network

My suggestion would be to use Task Manager to kill off all of the processes that you don't need, Explorer, and the like, and then play.

--As for the problem with the processor, try installing new drivers, phone the manufacturer, or return it.

you have to turn it on in the bios. reboot your computer and enter the bios config. there should be an option turn on/off hyperthreading.

You don't need Explorer to play games. It takes up a fair bit of processing power, so I usually just kill it and then restart the process when I'm done playing.
When I play Halo, I only leave about 20 processes running,

Yeah, go to your BIOS and check the stats, see if you can enable it from there.

The BIOS is the program that starts the OS up on your computer. To access it, restart, and when you restart hold F1.

...maybe you should have someone do it for you. if you don't know what your doing playing around in the bios isn't too smart.
