Right Click Halo shortcut, click properties, go to Compatibility tab, check "Run this program as an administrator", and click apply.

Thank you very much!! :)

Now here's another question for you: How is it that my Sony VAIO laptop with Windows 7 is unable to meet the minimum specs to play the game to its full potential when it ran and looked fine when I played the demo before?

Now, when I try to play, the graphics look fine, but there are no bullets, muzzle flashes or explosions....

Help, please.

Go into the in game settings and ramp up all the settings to their highest. Then, if it still runs great, go to this thread for further enhancements.

Yeah. That's right. I don't have a 50 in H3. I never got Onyx in Reach. If a game sucks too much, I won't even bother trying for such trivial "accolades". Besides, I've done way more things that take far more skill and talent than anything that can be done in a video game.

That means particles are off. Turn them on in video options.

Ah yes, you probably have an integrated video card, most likely an Intel Graphics card.

Intel have ruined the low-spec PC gaming market with their lousy cards, I believe that they are the cause of the decline in PC gamers these past couple of years. Before, anyone with any PC could pick up any game and play it, now its impossible and its ALL Intel's fault. My advise, do NOT get a desktop/laptop in the future with an Intel card, even if it is dirt cheap.

Actually its very ironic, considering they make top of the range processors designed for gaming. Fix (sometimes): Update your graphics card drivers.

If I am wrong, then you are most likely running in safe mode; reinstall. You could have your settings turned down, look in options.

Actually, the newer Sandy Bridge Core i7's from Intel have an integreated Intel GPU. The performance of that GPU is not bad actually. I think Intel is really starting to improve a bit on GPU's. And besides, their GPU's are good enough to run Windows Aero on a netbook.

He said he had a Sony VAIO, when looking up specs on it, I found this to be his video card:

"NVIDIA® GeForce® Go 7400 notebook graphics processing unit(GPU) (SPEED MODE) /
Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 950 (STAMINA MODE)"

(Here's where I found the specs)

If he is running Integrated, it's because he has it switched to it.

Add me to your friends list if you haven't already. It's a lot more fun to play with people from The Maw and people I know than random noobs.

I have a Toshiba Satelite laptop with an Intel i5 and integrated GPU and Halo runs just fine. The game said my rig was below the minimum specs when I first started it, but I have been running on the highest video settings with no problems.

Intel graphics cards are good enough for general tasks, thats it. Anyone with computer knowledge will not buy them for gaming.
