HALO 2 FOREVER - M.I.A.

Yes i have a Twitter and yes i voice my opinion.

People have been asking this all over and no one seems to answer it. At least no one with a good head on their shoulders.

Why did Bungie decide to give away the one thing that showed the world who they were?

Now personally i would like to know how this idea was decided. *-Was it a company vote?
*-Was it a plan from the start of halo reach? (another question follows this .. Why is it that the medal used to say "Bungie employee". now says fan).
*-Was it cause of the giant move that Bungie is pulling off with 343 and it was in short 343's choice of doing this?
*-Was it cause Bungie is launching Aerospace?

SO many questions can be asked but the one thing is still needed. THE ANSWER.

I personally would like to have some Bungie employee's post their thoughts on this question cause i want to know how they feel that the blue flame was given away being that its theirs from the start.

The beta is super awesome. RogueAssassin27 is now the person who got my Totodile's nickname. Hoo-hah! Relevant.inb4lock

Because they no longer will tend to Halo. It's a full-grown boy now, they don't need to care for it.

Tending halo is not the concern here. The fact is that the Blue flame was a sign of who Bungie is. The Blue Flame was something that gamers would see and respect. They would see a person with the bungie nameplate or the blue flame on their head and know that they are in the same game as a bungie employee.

That has been the major reason behind most screenshots posted was that they were in the presence of someone who gave them the greatest game's in history.

Yes, there're too many numbers in my name.

All I know is that they said it was the right thing to do. And I agree with them.

I <3 you too Bungie

It's the ultimate in-game swag for Bungie.net members. Everyone has seen it, thinks it's cool, and since Bungie is now leaving the game, why not pass down to those who will carry on?

Passing on the flame bro, passing on the flame.

Umm... Haunted Helmet?
That may be one way but then again if you look at some of the staff who dont work at bungie Max Dyckhoff who works for Blizzard now has the helmet. Or you can go find the kid who survived cancer and got the same package as the bungie employee's did in january. Or you can look up any one of the dozens of 343 staff who dont work at bungie now but did at one point during reach's first 2 months and you will see even more.

Because the Blue Flame, in its principle design, is a sign of honour and stature. It was once wielded as the signature of those who worked at Bungie, but it is now something so much more. The Blue Flame is a gift to the community, for the blood-soaked loyalty they have sworn over the past 20 years. It is a leaving present, a final hoorah - it is the ultimate gift to a legion of loving fans.

That is why Bungie parted with the one thing that made them Gods among Men. Because now there are no Gods, only Men.

Seriously though, I have no idea why they gave us the Blue Flame, or the Bungie Nameplate.
