thanks man, i'll check it out

right now, I am getting a beep since I don't have a 8 pin PCIe connection...hopefully an adaptor will work

i'm pushing the limits a bit, my PSU is only 520watt so we'll see

Yikes, a 520Watt really is pushing it you know. If you hear any buzzes or beeps, you might want to... well you know.

Also, whats your motherboard? Adaptions are really a last resort to be honest and can drain power and be dangerous, I had an old modem in my PC for ages when I had dial-up lol.

Also, if the AA works, post somthing in my guide to bump it a bit.

I got an adapter, 6pin to 8pin. Seems to work fine. Played a solid hour and half of F3AR yesterday. The 6970 will pull about 200watts, but can pull much more when overclocked and voltage bumped. I probably won't bother.

The 520 PSU is a high end OCZ that I've had for a few years. It has adjustable rails and I just love it. The 12v rail is single and is rated pretty high in amperage. My system is general doesn't pull much power though, just an old Phenom 2.2ghz quad core clocked to 2.5ghz. I know, pretty slow. :) Only have 2x2gb of ram, 2 HDDs, some fans and a DVD drive. So all in all, I'm probably still way under 520watts. My motherboard is a Gigabyte DS5 with the 790FX chipset, AM2+ socket.

I'll check out Halo AA today, been playing a lot of Fear 3, which is great btw, although the graphics are ho hum.
