Before the new rules were put into place on January 25, I remember there being a distinct rule (at least in the Halo 3 forum) which prohibited "rank flaming," or basically using someone else's game statistics to make fun of them or harass them on the forums.
Even though I thought the rules were rather convoluted back then and the update was necessary, that rule was pretty important. I don't see it on the official forum rules anymore, where I should supposedly find it under "Play nice, don't be a jerk."
The reason I bring this up is because it has derailed so many discussions in the Reach forum that it is ridiculous. Anyone making a criticism is automatically assessed and treated according to their K/D ratio, number of MLG games etc regardless of the objective validity of the post.
This isn't about adding more rules, it's about reinstating (or re-enforcing if it's still there) a rule which was imperative for on-topic discussion about Halo.
