Is strange I'm only thinking about this now but...
In CE, you've got the Grunty thirst guy.
And 3 has the Jerk Store guy.
Where's 2's isolated Grunt with weird stuff to say ?

Primary B.net account is Jjag20.

No the problem is this forum is dead. I wish there was an active Halo 2 forum.

Sometimes, I dream about cheese.

the closest halo 2 counterpart would be the cowardly grunt in the level uprising.

This is actually the stupidest thing ever posted on B.net:

Why does everyone hate Halo 2? Maybe its because its the worst game ever next to mario.

The Cowardly Grunt! He is my favorite character in the entire Campaign!

Hope this helps!

There's also Herbie on Sacred Icon, he's invincible.

Honestly, I completely disagree with your statement. This forum is quite active. Granted, it is not a monopolist giant such as the Reach forum, but it's quite cozy here, family like.

Anyways, all of our grunts are chill grunts ;)

Heh heh. Thanks Scott and Super Polar. Have always thought the Grunt made Halo. Much needed humor in an otherwise grim setting. Bungie definitely pointed to the left field wall when they made a panicking, "I give up when overwhelmed" enemy. (Why haven't other games picked up on the idea that in a shooter, 90% of the time is spent looking at the enemy, so, make the enemy believable/worthwhile ?) And who's this guy you're talking about, Grump ?

Yea Grump, who!? Psh, I'm just pulling your leg, Johnathan. But seriously... you might want to tell this guy about old Herbie, or he will definitely steal your tijuana mama 12 pack!

Post Scriptum

You are most certainly welcome, nesteggsuccess!

Herbie is an invincible Grunt at the beginning of Sacred Icon. If you go to the piston, Herbie will walk to you. Get between the piston and Herbie and activate the piston. Keep Herbie up against the wall and you'll see you can't kill him. I think that's how it goes, it's been a long time but it's all true. I've tried to take him down the shaft but he does not stay invincible. If someone could keep him invincible it would be cool to finish the level with him or launch him over to the Green door.

Somebody from HIH launched him up the SI wall but the vid may be lost.

This guy is thankful. After I thought I knew all about H-2...leave it to Grump to school me. As always, old friend...

Lol, remember, I was just another tricker at my old site. It was a beautiful site, everyone working together toward common goals. It was awesome.

Grump, I know that whole thing. But now we're where we are. You give your time to our old site, and we are grateful. Your tricks are legend, don't undersell yourself. I remember your surgery and also when you had to rename yourself. Stay with us, old boy. You are a steadying hand. And we would hardly be the same without you.

Only someone deserving could ever get comments like that from people. Nice work, Grumpy. xD Now I need to get to doing something for people to look at me that way, too...

Words cannot explain how grateful I am for the last several comments. I know it's only cyberspace but you guys are going to make me tear up. Lately it's been cozy around here again, friendly and I like that. I'm here because I like the people.

Halo 2 for Life!

I'm unsure why, it might be out there to discover still.

Aye aye commissioner. After I release a video of my Outskirts mod, I'll get to work on that.

Herbie, you're going down and you're going to stay badass, whether you like it or not, capiche?

Edit:

Oh I get it now. You mean get him to walk and shoot and remain invincibility.

Looks like someone already managed it. I can't tell if the Grunt's still invincible since the guy ends it too soon.
