Subject: What is going to happen to bungie body armour?

Im a major halo fan, or I think so seeing as i have all achievements for halo 3, ODST, reach, and am only missing one on halo wars, and would really like to know if there is anyway I'd be able to get bungie body in halo 3.

Not likely. And if Bungie doesn't give out the armor piece, we will likely never see it in action again due to Bungie probably won't be playing Halo 3 anytime soon or EVER.

Thats exactly what I was worried about. I hope they give it out as it made custom games last bungie day so much fun, the games with good active camo trait and everyone wearing bungie body, just giant balls of fire floating around for you to shoot at.

Bungie day will be with Reach considering the majority plays Reach. But you might get lucky July 7th, you never know.

Well it's not up to you if you get the Bungie body armour, It's all controller by Bungie themselves, So unless they decide to, It wont happen.

I'll admit it was fun to see balls of fire just floating around. It would also be a shame to never see the flames in action ever again. But look at the bright side. If they don't give us the armor piece, at least you still have the films of the flames of Bungie Day if you saved any. And if not, well at least you've had a hell of a memory of that wonderful fire induced day.

I'll admit I kinda wanna see the armor in action again. It would be amusing sniping a floating fireball. Thats just me though.

Well it's the only piece of armor I'm missing, and also I would truly hate to have it completely gone.

That's what I heard too.

Bungie.Match.com: Our Johnson knows what the ladies like.

According to the Employees themselves, they can give you it, but at a cost. They'd have to give it to everyone, and you wouldn't be able to turn it off, nor change chests.

May 11 will be known as Halo 2 Day for me from now on.

Well Ive been in the Navy since June 25, 2009 and its a fun job right now.

As M94 said the only way to get it really is if everyone else is to get it...

That sounds false to me.

Didn't they give out Bungie Flames as a prize one time? For some Ninja Warrior thing? The world wasn't forced into Bungie Flames for that guy. And I don't see why you wouldn't be able to turn them off...it's a chest piece that activates the flame, after all. You should be able to just switch them.

I call BS.

It was given as a reward for the winner of the sarkathalon 4. I don't care what they do so long as it is possible to unlock so that the armour isn't lost from the game nearly entirely. They could give it to everyone or only those with certain achievements I don't care so long as it's out there in some way.

Halo 3: 50 Halo reach: Onyx

No idea, although i believe those who have reached highskill 50 deserve to have the flames. It would give me a reward, and you kids a reason to play;D

I think most 50s achieve their rank illegitimately and this would just encourage more of that behaviour. Not good for the game.

The skill system doesn't measure players accurately, and all armour on halo 3 is achievement based so why break that tradition. Btw I have a 2.75 kd on reach yet only a 30 skill in ranked living dead in halo 3.

The Bungie armor, I feel, should be restricted to Bungie only. The only exception is Bungie Day. That's why I was disappointed when they released it for Reach. You can't tell who's Bungie without checking their helmet. And it just ruined the treat. Everyone is using it.

Well come July 7th they will hardley play Halo so does it matter if you can't tell the difference?

  • 06.27.2011 5:28 PM PDT

bungie does not own halo 3 any more microsoft does cause they own the character master chief thats why microsoft is making halo 4

  • 06.27.2011 7:10 PM PDT

Is something on your mind? I'm pretty sure there is

Since they don't own Halo 3, that means the flames are basically gone. At least I got both of them in Reach.

The enemy of my enemy shall die next.

I know the voices in my head are not real, but they have some great ideas.

Brown chicken Brown cow!

Microsoft own the IP for the Halo franchise, but Bungie are still able to give the community things (e.g blue flames in reach)up untill the final cut off day which is infact the 7th.
